The following was meant to be humorous,

however, I find that although a majority of humans would never have the courage for such an endeavor...

like it or not...it goes against everything we were taught...blah, blah, blah...

Therefore, it is probably the only real option...

Scientists: ‘Look, One-Third Of The Human Race Has To Die For Civilization To Be Sustainable, So How Do We Want To Do This?

Scientists say at least 2 billion dead bodies will be burned and converted into fossil fuels.

Scientists say at least 2 billion dead bodies will be burned and converted into fossil fuels.

WASHINGTON—Saying there’s no way around it at this point, a coalition of scientists announced Thursday that one-third of the world population must die to prevent wide-scale depletion of the planet’s resources—and that humankind needs to figure out immediately how it wants to go about killing off more than 2 billion members of its species.

Representing multiple fields of study, including ecology, agriculture, biology, and economics, the researchers told reporters that facts are facts: Humanity has far exceeded its sustainable population size, so either one in three humans can choose how they want to die themselves, or there can be some sort of government-mandated liquidation program—but either way, people have to start dying.

And soon, the scientists confirmed.

“I’m just going to level with you—the earth’s carrying capacity will no longer be able to keep up with population growth, and civilization will end unless large swaths of human beings are killed, so the question is: How do we want to do this?” Cambridge University ecologist Dr. Edwin Peters said. “Do we want to give everyone a number and implement a death lottery system? Incinerate the nation’s children? Kill off an entire race of people? Give everyone a shotgun and let them sort it out themselves?”

“Completely up to you,” he added, explaining he and his colleagues were “open to whatever.” “Unfortunately, we are well past the point of controlling overpopulation through education, birth control, and the empowerment of women. In fact, we should probably kill 300 million women right off the bat.”

Because the world’s population may double by the end of the century, an outcome that would lead to a considerable decrease in the availability of food, land, and water, researchers said that, bottom line, it would be helpful if a lot of people chose to die willingly, the advantage being that these volunteers could decide for themselves whether they wished to die slowly, quickly, painfully, or peacefully.

Additionally, the scientists noted that in order to stop the destruction of global environmental systems in heavily populated regions, there’s no avoiding the reality that half the world’s progeny will have to be sterilized.

“The longer we wait, the higher the number of people who will have to die, so we might as well just get it over with,” said Dr. Chelsea Klepper, head of agricultural studies at Purdue University, and the leading proponent of a worldwide death day in which 2.3 billion people would kill themselves en masse at the exact same time. “At this point, it’s merely a question of coordination. If we can get the populations of New York City, Los Angeles, Beijing, India, Europe, and Latin America to voluntarily off themselves at 6 p.m. EST on June 1, we can kill the people that need to be killed and the planet can finally start renewing its resources.”

Thus far, humanity has been presented with a great variety of death options, among them, poisoning the world’s water supply with cadmium, picking one person per household to be killed in the privacy of his or her home, mass beheadings, and gathering 2.3 billion people all in one place and obliterating them with a single hydrogen bomb.

Sources confirmed that if a death solution is not in place by Mar. 31, the U.N., in the interest of preserving the human race, will mobilize its peacekeeping forces and gun down as many people as necessary.

“I don’t care how it happens, but a ton of Africans have to go, because by 2025, there’s no way that continent will be able to feed itself,” said Dr. Henry Craig of the Population Research Institute. “And by my estimation, three babies have to die for every septuagenarian, because their longer life expectancy means babies have the potential to release far more greenhouse gases going forward.”

While the majority of the world’s populace reportedly understands this is the only option left to save civilization, not all members of the human race are eager to die.

“I personally would rather live, but taking the long view, I can see how ensuring the survival of humanity is best,” said Norwich, CT resident and father of three Jason Atkins. “I guess if we were to do it over again, it would make sense to do a better job conserving the earth’s finite resources.”

“Hopefully, the people who remain on the planet will use the mass slaughter of their friends and loved ones as an incentive to be more responsible going forward,” he added.

If you look at the curves birth rates are falling all over the world, except in Africa, the forlorn continent. Falling in China, Thailand, Japan, etc. Some are predicting China's population to fall to 650 million within 50 years, the crisis is that bad. I don't call it a crisis. I think it's a huge  blessing.

We report on China whose birth rate in the last year has fallen to the lowest level on record while American research shows more adults who do not already have children are saying they are unlikely to ever have them. Hooray!!!

https://www.france24.com/en/tv-shows/the-51/20220121-global-decline-in-birth-rates-should-we-worry

Japan's population is projected to fall from a peak of 128 million in 2017 to less than 53 million by the end of the century.

Italy is expected to see an equally dramatic population crash from 61 million to 28 million over the same timeframe.

They are two of 23 countries - which also include Spain, Portugal, Thailand and South Korea - expected to see their population more than halve. Hooray!!!

https://www.bbc.com/news/health-53409521

Falling birth rates always follow women becoming educated.

Is it significant that the highest birth rates are in countries where women have fewest rights? Saudi women were educated, but they had few rights.

In the west, even if educated women wanted more children, it's too expensive. Poor women have lots because the state subsidises them.

Bill Burr's take on things

He started off well, but exposed his woke credentials when he started with the climate change <deleted>, and at the end it turned out to be about selling something.

He might have had a point, except he completely ignored AI/ robotics, as androids will be able to look after all the old people on the planet, and manual workers will no longer be needed.

The good news is that after mid century the world's population might start to shrink, assuming Gaia hasn't managed to find a plague that actually kills us all.

The other good news is that it seems like having kids is no longer seen as the ultimate function of women and they are starting to have actual lives of their own.

The big surprise to me was that birth rates are falling fastest in China. I had thought that after the end of the one child policy they would be popping out masses, but they are not.

Seems many women no longer think carrying a parasite around for 9 months with morning sickness, stretch marks, saggy boobs and potential death is a good idea.

The species not yet extinct will rejoice.

Hopefully the next dominant species will actually be intelligent, and won't destroy the environment.

I was, but it wasn't my choice to be one. I have not made any woman carry my parasite.

Have kids before you call them names. Our "species" main thing in life on earth is to have families, raise kids respectfully and treat others well. Thinking our species will die off and be replaced with another is against the reason we are here in the first place. I'm guessing you aren't a believer in God by your statement, so everyone is a parasite to you. Not to my thinking.

Government

I agree.  Anarchy would be much better for the planet.  People would succumb to disease and kill each other much more frequently.  This would reduce the average lifespan and each individuals contribution to the coming apocalyptic climate catastrophe.

Thanks

He might not but i will.

It all started with social media. Now even the namby pamby beta males have a voice.White saviours for blm, allowing men in frocks into ladies toilets, supporting operations to turn kids into the opposite sex, pornography in school librarys, pronouns, not knowing what a woman is,saying men can menstruate and have babies, men in frocks and beards showing young kids their seedy underwear in class, supporting retributions from people who were never in the slave trade.I could go on but it would only make your blue hair curle.

A Parasite lives in or on another organism and gets it's nutrients from the host.

A foetus lives in a mother and gets all it's nutrients from the mother.

There isn't a version of God. There is one God, period. I was on the God thread and saw many intelligent and many ignorant replies, meaning there is a lot of ignorance and a lot of intelligence in the world. Some of those are believers and some are not. I can't judge them. Only God can.

Which is contrary to what you earlier said, that children are parasites.

If you were on the God thread and didn't notice any post from me saying I believed in God you can't have looked very hard, given the number of posts I put on it.

OK only one God, but not the same version as what God does, or doesn't do. Apparently you believe in a God that cares about us- I do not. God created the universe and then let us get on with killing each other.

Are you for real? I was referring to that which the woman carries around for 9 months. I never even mentioned "children" when I was talking about a parasite.

That's called free will. Some choose to hurt, others to help. Greed causes many deaths. Thou shalt not covet, steal, murder all things common sense but disregarded by many. World leaders being narcissists, they care only for power and money, and not the people they are supposed to be helping. Yes, God sits back and watches the insanity. He made the earth a certain size, knowing full well we would over populate it and run out of resources eventually. Or have wars that would end it. He could have made it the size of Jupiter, and it would last many more centuries. He knew what free will would do.
