We need a dedicated stock market forum

Featured Replies

Always good to share investment ideas, compare portfolios, talk about trends, assess the impact of geopolitics on markets, etc... WallStreetBets can't have a monopoly on this. AN has to step in.

With all the scandals in finance, I would not even trust a banker in the US face to face....so on a forum  ? well...if that's the norm...

  • Such a forum wouldn't tell anyone how to get rich, no serious forum does. It could, however, host discussions about the technicalities of stock investing in Thailand. So not a bad idea at all IMO.

Ugh! and fill it with lies, graphs, hearsay and nonsense. Anyway, one already exists it's called ZeroHedge. and it has loads of graphs you can't actually see, and graphs without the axes marked as to what they are referring to. You would love it,

ZeroHedge isn't a forum. It's a fringe BS news website about finance in general.

Funny it has a lot of graph filled analysts reports from Goldman Sachs, Merrill Streep and other luminaries.

What are you talking about? It would be a forum to share ideas not a forum to tell people where to invest. You two geniuses have no idea what I'm talking about, do you? You haven't even trade a stock in your life, right? So why are you even participating in this thread !?

The stockmarket forum was a good idea. No need for such negativity.

I second the motion. I would appreciate a forum where civil conversations about investments could take place. For example, is it time to invest in bonds? What about the Hong Kong Stock market? Are Alibaba and Baidu dead money or dirt cheap stocks ready to break out?

Things of that sort.

No we don't. Can you imagine someone like Liverpool Lou spamming the board with Thai companies about to go bust?

Also, stocks are for investing in the long run. Most of the guys here won't live past 2026

You want a special forum about finance here where most people need an agent for a visa because they don't have the money in the bank to comply with the proper visa rules?

Well yeah. I mean most people on here ain't women yet there is a special forum for women. So why not for those that are into retail investing or trading ?

sometimes stocks are predictable, but most of the time it's a fugazi, it's a fugazzi. (like bob smiths' threads)

and most of the time nobody knows if it's going up, down, or sideways.

He wouldn't have a clue. He's a socialist who believes that someone else (or company, or government) always pays. Companies are rolling in money that must be liberated to the workers.

That would require a forum with intelligent & well mannered/respectful members.

Best to look elsewhere 😎

Yeah...Nope. Things have change quiet a bit since that time and we ain't talking penny stocks and pink sheets here. Anyway. As someone mentioned earlier, people on here wouldn't have the money to invest anyway so it would probably end up like this topic: people talking crap about things they don't understand.

Well if they didn't it would effectively be a "one man thread", and they don't work very well on a discussion forum!

What you really want is a Bunny Silverhand forum, right?

Without these people this site , and many others, would not exist. At least 90% of all posts are provided by these people. Others reading or responding to such posts provide the clicks to satisfy the business model.
