Angry Ex-Husband Damages Car and Threatens Ex-Wife in Pattaya

A man has caused damage to his ex-wife’s car in an apparent act of revenge, using a stone to smash the vehicle windows, before leaving threatening messages on the body of the car. The incident occurred in Soi Phiromsuk, South Pattaya, on the afternoon of 4 February. At approximately 15:00, police received a report of a car being vandalised and sent officers to the scene. They arrived to find a blue Honda Brio, with the front windshield shattered and a large stone lodged in it. The hood of the car was scrawled with offensive words, and the passenger-side window had been smashed. Inside the vehicle, police discovered another stone, and further messages, including the word “hell,” were scratched on the side door. The car’s owner, 24-year-old Thananya Khunwiset, was present at the scene and provided a statement to the police. She explained that the perpetrator was her ex-husband, with whom she had broken up four months prior. Thananya had been asleep at home when a friend messaged her to inform her of the damage to her car. Upon arriving at the scene, she was shocked to find the damage. Thananya revealed that during their relationship, her ex-husband frequently used drugs and was physically abusive, though she had never reported these incidents to the authorities. While Thananya was speaking to the press, her ex-husband contacted her via chat, followed by a phone call. During the call, he taunted her, before abruptly hanging up. Thananya has since filed a report at the Pattaya Police Station, and a team of investigators has been assigned to locate and apprehend the suspect to face charges for the incident. -- 2025-02-05 -
