Reputation numbers

I could not remember when I first joined this forum. so I went to my profile to check, and I noticed that I had a large number of reputation point, and since there is no breakdown on the type of emojis  I had  the honor to have bestowed upon me 

It got me wonder .

If we has the extended middle finger reputation comment emoji available to us , what parentage of my reputation emojis would include that anatomical device.  

I would love your opinion on that . and I was wondering if we could start a petition to have such emoji included in the arsenal of or posting options.

Frankly I am amazed by the level of non-participation so far. I thought for sure the petition part would had attracted a lot of interest.

Interestingly enough, those reputation points use to show up about your post count on any post you made.
Now since the 'upgrade?'   Hai bpai.  Gone!

I liked to see those posted front and center in members post avatars as it gave me a feel for the community's relationship to the member.  I wish they would put it back personally.

The middle finger used to be in the mogi options. I used it once years ago, not intended to be bad, like when friends give each other the finger at times. Anyway, I was suspended for using an option provided. Go figure.

Some people lack the intelligence to deal with each post on its own merits and they resort trolling others with the confused or sad emoji just because they don't like other posters - I agree it would be good to know who these idiot trolls are.

 

I see this happening to other posters, they make valid points over a series of posts and some tool is trolling them by posting a 'confused' emoji against all of their posts (its often obvious who the troll is in such situations).

 

At least posters such as Watchit are adult enough to address their opinion directly rather than hiding behind an anonymous emoji. 

 

I find myself disagreeing with some certain posters comments quite regularly, but the same posters also often makes some good comments which I like and thus give the thumbs up to.

The confused emoji very often is misused by people who don't agree with what you have said but are too idle or unsure of themselves to post a reply.

 

As such it's constant misuse has made it an entirely pointless adjunct to a discussion forum!

I went through a stage where I'd dish out a hundred "like emojis" which went through to their notifications, then the following day I'd "unlike" the exact same posts, which didn't go through to their notifications.

Often  I have reacted with that exclamation after reading some posts. 

More than once  after reading some of mine the day after.😁

I think that reflects that contributors don't really care about the 'reputation' stats. Do any of us actually know how the numbers are calculated? Do I care? Not in the slightest. Others might like to amass as many points as they can, in a similar way that some 'friend' everyone in sight on Facebook to build huge numbers for no practical reason. Just makes them feel good, I suppose.

That's because you don't know that at the end of the posting season, you can redeem them for TVF commeratice dishes , or a all inclusive trip to bathroom.
