The difference is that in America they are often mass shootings and in Thailand, the place we read in guide books is a land of close families, they are largely domestic. So yes, Hub Of Domestic Violence. I think the majority of gun deaths are suicide and then following that it's homicides by gangs (mainly black and then "hispanic" to a lesser degree). The high profile mass shootings in the 5+ range are a tiny fraction of the gun deaths yet that's all the media reports on. Does Thailand have more domestic gun violence than the US though? That would be interesting to know. 1 1

Hanuman2547 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 It seems that the groom has a very fragile ego. Took offence to his new bride's interactions with others that day and decided to go out to his car and then start shooting the bride, her sister and her mother. 1
steven100 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 in most civilized countries they always remember to take their wallet and a gift .... in Thailand they always remember to take the gun and some bullets ....

If you go to the source article, Pattaya News, the groom was the shooter, he had an argument with his bride, shot her and the others then himself.

charleskerins Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Here's a statistic from the US "Every month, an average of 70 women are shot and killed by an intimate partner." Still think Thailand is far more violent than the US?
