TV repairs in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Bought a slim LG 46inch in Chiang Mai about 5 years ago. Used only as for AV for AIS Play.

Suddenly the set is without any prompt switching off and then on again.

'Off' could be 1 minute or 1 hr., it's intermittent, period of time working correctly could be most of a day or on and off several time in one hour.

Would appreciate any suggestion for a repair shop which has provided good professional service and of course hopefully at a reasonable cost.

Thanks.

Nyom Panich, next to Toyota (or Honda) dealership near airport plaza, round the back they have a large electrical appliance repair shop, they repair all brands of TV's. First rate service.

LG has a service center in the moat city across from Siam TV next to a Kerry freight office.  Sorry couldn't give a more detail but when my LG tv needed a replacement remote, the service center had the latest model on hand.

Have you changed the power cable and plug?

Yes replaced. A

Also we have an LG 50inch same vintage which is working perfectly.

I swapped the power cables, didn't make any difference to the problem.

Thanks for your post.

Possibly the wall socket.

Did you try it with a different power cable in a different wall socket in a different room?

Yes, tried that. Thanks

Have you checked your AV AIS device? What happens if you plug into your 50"?

When you say switching off, then on again, do get the standby LED being illuminated, or just loss of picture?

Just loss of picture would possible point at the HDMI connected device. Could it be thermal cut-off, how hot is the AV AIS unit?
