Thai Authorities Seize Over 400,000 Amphetamine Pills After Shootout with Suspected Drug Smugglers in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai—At 2:00 AM, on December 2nd, 2023, Pha Mueang military patrol squads encountered a caravan of drug smugglers and battled for more than 5 minutes in the Ban Muang Chum area, Fang, Chiang Mai.


After receiving a shooting report, at 11:00 AM, Fang police officers and relevant agencies were dispatched to the incident scene to investigate.

 

The enforcement teams found four backpacks stashed with over 400,000 amphetamine pills left behind during the shootout.
