OK, the police man gets a verbal shake down and a maximum fine of 500 Baht. The Chinese will get 458 years in solitary confinement at Bang Kwang or Klong Prem without any chance of parole or amnesty. What a joke this whole soap story is. Without mentioning it to the media it could have been sorted out in a quiet manner, talk to the police officer to make sure that future sees only him wearing his uniform.

I don't see it as a big deal. The 'tourist' wasn't out directing traffic, writing tickets, harassing anyone, driving a motorbike or police car or shaking down the local or visiting Chinese. Looks like a bit of fun.

Investigation ordered into video of Chinese man wearing Thai police uniform

 

 

An urgent investigation has been ordered into a viral video clip depicting a Chinese man wearing a Thai police uniform, accompanied by a Thai man in police training attire opening a car door for him, said police spokesman Archayon Kraithong on Wednesday.

 

The clip went viral in China, before spreading within the Thai online community. A netizen translated the Chinese dialogue in the clip as: “Dear all, is there anybody who has a chance to wear clothes like me?”

 

The second man, believed to be a Thai police officer due to his short haircut, opens the car door for the Chinese person, who promptly gets into the vehicle.

Thai have zero sense of humour on this top... I know 5555...i once picked up a cops police helmet.. We'd been chatting for 5 minutes... with the intention of taking a selfie with his helmet.
