TM30 required when returning to the previously reported address?

Recommended Posts

I was at Hua Hin Immigration at Blueport mall today to check if they  requires tm 30 report after you leave county with re entry permit  and return to the same address you left. Yes every time you return, but not so firm about the 24 hours.

Kamphaeng Immigration  also requires now again a TM 30  within 48 hours every single time after returning home having stayed in another province.

That's a new one on me, leaving the country yes

That's new for me too as I haven't notified Immigration for a while and never was fined. But this time the officer confirmed even just going to another province for the weekend triggers a TM 30.  Because they would need to know the whereabouts of the foreigner as he / she might be up to no good.

I'm just new to the online TM30 submission and hope someone can clarify for me.

Got owner's documents, registered as her, added address and address approved all done last week.

Today I added an individual staying (me, after returning from a trip) and submitted.  All good so far and when checking the system I see the entry with a green tick saying "Informed".

Is there anything else I have to do, is there anything Immigration have to do or is that it?

Is there a print facility and if so where do I find it, or do I just screenshot the page if I want to keep a record?

Do you know how they know?

Specially if somebody stays not in the hotel?

Jomtien immigration - congrats. You have to report your address via a TM30 each and every time you come back to Thailand, even if you are staying in the same place as before. All has to be done 72 hours within your entry, or get a nice 1,600 baht fine. If you don't need to do anything at immigration then you don't need to worry about a TM30. If you do, then welcome to the fun of TM30 each entry into Thailand.

You've gotta love Jomtien immigration, you can only do extensions one business day prior to stamp expiry too. I've wasted two trips there already and will have to make a 3rd trip one business day before stamp expiry.

They also need to do it in person...

Or is that information on another page?

It's sort of irrelevant.

In June 2020 the rules re TM30 requirements changed..

However in recent times (2024) some immigration offices have insisted on current TM30 for any dealings with immigration.

It's up to immigration office.

Just last month, I did a TM30 at Immo/CW.

I told the officer I was going to be out of the country for a week at the end of October.

She said that, as long as my Bangkok address and visa/extension status did not change, there would be no need to file a new TM30.

Go to the magnifying glass emojy on the left on the "informed" information relating to the person you have registered. Click on that and it will produce a "certificate" which you can download for your records, or if needed by immigration. This is only available 7 days from initial report submission.

Recently went through the same procedure doing it on landlords behalf using their ID nd blue book and also just did 90 days online without any problems.

Jomtien Office, I'm on a retirement visa/extension. I did my first 90 day report yesterday in person as required after returning from overseas. I checked with the help desk prior to my trip whether I would have to do a new TM30 on return staying at my same owned condo, I was told I didn't need to. Sure enough the 90 day was processed with no mention of not having done a new TM30 on re-entry

Not my experience. They must have changed the policy.

I asked them the question 5 months ago. She specifically asked me did I own the property, which I do. I don't know if that is a factor/differential or as numerous others on this thread have pointed out that if returning on the same visa, with a re-entry permit and to the same address it is not required.

Not for the first time my personal experience has differed for the better from a lot of supposed certainties spread on here
