Why are they too old? DT is too Fascist to be President that is the only thing that matters now -too bad many Americans and journalists can't see the forest for the trees.  Very naive .

Have you even seen Biden on tv recently to know that he's too old for the job? I've looked after geriatrics that are more with it than he is.

Yes she should be judged on her fathers actions she is not her own person   -what bs.

I judge her on her own self and I don't like what I see. It's great that she lost her seat in congress as we don't need people like her running the US.

I wonder if she will stand for POTUS, if she can find anyone to give her money to do so? If she does I'll enjoy seeing her humiliated.

Tell it like it is. And never forget, despite all the boasting to the contrary, 17 of his businesses have failed in the past few  decades. Some at huge losses. Trump Steaks, Trump Shuttle Airline ($120 million in losses between 1988 and 1990), GoTrump, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump University, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trump Magazine, Trumped!. Many businesses that licensed his name went bankrupt, or went out of business. And he had between four and six major bankruptcies (depending on the source), including the Trump Taj Mahal (which he spent $1.2 billion building, and was $3 billion in debt within a year of opening), Trump's Castle, Trump Place Hotel (which was very successful prior to Trump buying it in 1988, and he managed to put it into $550 million in debt by 1992!), Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts ($1.8 billion in debt by 2004, bankrupt in 2009) , and Trump Entertainment Resorts. There are likely others. And this does not take into account the 3,600 lawsuits he was involved in as of the time he took office, the vast majority of which were filed by small contractors against his companies for non payment, or total default. Many of these contractors were crushed. It is part of his M.O. Are these failures and traits the result of being a narcissist? You bet they are.

Then he failed miserably as president, and was likely the 43rd worst ever. God forbid he get's re-elected. All bets are off, at that point. I only wish he had a better opponent.

Spider -better opponent ? What's the problem with Joe

As an outside observer. What was the United States of America is now deemed The DisUnited States of America by other countries. Trying to extract itself from a narcissistic sycophantic ex President accused of corruption. But it seems most Americans are jollied along and love the raxxa matazz by flamboyance. The will follow him. It must be the fake tan and bouffant hair style. So very sad.

It is not;  nor has it ever been most Americans.

Here’s an interesting titbit:

“A binder holding top-secret intelligence that contributed to a U.S. assessment that Russia tried to help throw the 2016 U.S. election to Donald Trump has been missing since the last days of his presidency, a source familiar with the issue said.

The Russia intelligence was included with other documents in a binder that Trump directed the CIA to send to the White House just before he left office so he could declassify materials related to the FBI probe of Russian interference in the 2016 vote, the source said.”

It is particularly interesting that Trump directed the CIA to send it to the White House just before he left office. Hmm, I wonder what happened to that binder….

Historically it's a thing that happens that people democratically decide to elect dictators.

That's what's happening now and it will happen unless the trump train wreck can somehow be stopped.

But democracy once lost is incredibly difficult to ever restore.

They still have elections in Russia but they aren't real.

If that's what Americans want, by heck, that's what they're gonna get.

When the crowds were given the choice between Jesus, who'd said ''Hey guys, let's all be nice to each other'' and the epitome of narcissistic tyranny, the murderer, who did they chose?

A lesson one should always bear in mind.

Paul Ryan is a lying, two-faced, treacherous scumbag.

No argument here. But in this case, for once, he’s actually telling it like it is: Trump is indeed an authoritarian narcissist. And that’s putting it mildly.

I agree completely.

I am a US citizen and a lifelong registered Democrat. Years ago, I used to respect most Republicans, even though I disagreed with their conservative views. I listened to their arguments and understood where they were coming from. Now, especially the Trump MAGA supporters, are just spouting non-democratic, fascist chaos.

I'm very concerned for my home country and expect an upsurge in public violence in the now less-than-a-year period leading up to the 2024 presidential election. I believe no matter which side wins, the other side will claim fraud and not accept the outcome. Then, I don't know what will happen, but it won't be good.

a/ That's debatable. IMO he was brilliant at upsetting the wokesters, and for me that's a victory.

b/ Most people on here don't believe God exists, so God isn't coming to help you.

c/ You and me both. IMO the bad joke will be unleashed on the world if he wins when he either dies of age related problems, or has to step down as too senile to continue and Harris is inflicted on us all.

Trump MAGA supporters didn't just appear one day- they were created over time by Washington, and are so hostile to Washington and all who sail in her that they will even elect someone like Trump to burn it to the ground, after which they will dance and sing hallelujah that the wicked witch is gone.

Seriously, asking why people voted for Trump without understanding why they did so is just <deleted> in the wind.

To understand why they thought America today ( or in 2016 ) is/ was so bad that they had to elect Trump, just take a long hard look at Washington.

Perhaps it's easier to see Washington's faults when not living in America, but I can certainly see the rot behind the edifice, and there is a lot of rot to be seen.

Trump isn't someone that would have a hope of being POTUS except that Washington is so bad that someone had to be elected to attack it from within. Trump might have done better had not he chosen the IMO vile Sessions who abandoned his responsibilities and left Trump to the haters to try and destroy. If hell exists, Sessions is headed there IMO.

Sadly, if Trump wins, it may make a huge difference to everyone's lives.  And not for the better

PH

He made my life better when he ditched the IMO vile APEC disaster in the making.

He also made a lot of young men's lives better by not starting any wars.

If he wins and doesn't start any wars, he'll be a winner in my book.

Finishing the wall would also be a good thing for the USA.

I gave that a heart because Trump didn't murder anyone , so you must be talking about the other guy, the man who voted for a few wars, while not actually fighting in one himself. Politicians are great at sending other people's sons to die, aren't they?

Because that's the way misogynists think - any woman who has power is a threat to them regardless of their point of view, skills, intelligence or other characteristics. It's indeed sad.

Ah yes, the old misogynist attack designed to frighten away anyone that thinks any woman might be bad. Doesn't work on me though, as I worked with thousands of them for many decades and had hundreds as my bosses. Men that don't actually know many women other than their mothers and a few girlfriends don't actually know much about women, though they may think they do. Bit sad IMO.

I agree with most of your recent post except this first part. Having lived in the USA most of my life, I always knew there were these types of people there - racists, homophobes, xenophobes, sexists, fascists, etc. But, I thought they made up no more than 10% of most of our citizenry. Now, I think the 40% or so that seems to be there now has always existed, and Trump (or Washington) did not "create" them, but Trump has allowed them to crawl out from rocks under which they were hiding.

However that happened, they are there now, out in the open, and, like you, I think no matter how the next presidential election goes, this could be the end of the civility in the USA and the start of a very chaotic and violent era.
