On December 21st, 2023, Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, the Permanent Secretary of the Thai Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), published statistical data on the NationalThailand website on the rate of Thai children being born in the past year, showing the lowest rates in 71 years.

According to a statistic by MSDHS, the recent data on birth rates in 2023 showed that there were only 502,000 newborn babies, however, the goal was set at 700,000. It was the lowest birth rate in 71 years.

Meanwhile, Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin commented regarding the statistical data on X, or formely Twitter, that he was astounded by the statistics, however, he was aware of women’s rights that they have over their bodies to decide whether to have children or not.

The government seems to have been 'vowing' a lot lately, on just about every issue and subject, is this is their way of

showing that they're on top of things or just big talks and vowing?...

Fewer people will lead to fewer laborers for the rich to exploit. However, if Thais were well educated they could get laborers from other countries to do the grunt work.

The governments on top of things, unlike the male population.

The world birth rate is 2.3  https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.TFRT.IN?locations=TH-1W

And the entire western world is well under 2.0 https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.TFRT.IN?locations=TH-1W&view=map

We are on the way to population decline and eventual extinction, but nobody is talking about it except Uncle Elon.

A drastic reduction in the human population would be a very good thing for the Earth's biosphere, but it would have to be well under 2.0, more like something well under 1. I would like to be able to say we (humans) are on the way to eventual extinction, but I think that will occur for reasons other than our birth rate.

And, besides "Uncle Elon," who I despise, I am talking about this: The Icarus Syndrome (books2read.com)

Horrific air pollution has reduced men's sperm count.  Besides there are already far too many people in this world especially one specific group.

I don't know about the sperm count, but I agree that "there are already far too many people in this world." I don't know what you mean about "one specific group," but I'd probably not agree with that.

Age of consents or the enforcement thereof getting nastier and nastier, child custody to women only, false rape accusations .... the whole misandric bag of tricks. Then wonder why men drop out of the family game.

Society doesn't want to know of course. This way women can further be showered with incentives while not altering their birthrate one iota.

Anyway, too many people on this World already, 8 thousand millions too many by the latest count.

These governmental shills go to attend WEF, UN, and other conferences where "Over-Population" is the scourge of the Planet Earth and the useless eaters must be addressed as a pandemic; Then they come back home and decry the plague of sub-normal birth-rate.

Which is it?

Birth rate is the number of live births per 1,000 women in the total population. The fertility rate is the average number of children born to women during their reproductive years. Tracking fertility rates provide for more efficient and beneficial planning and resource allocation within a particular region.

At 2.08 children per woman, the fertility rate in the US has been continously slightly below the global average of about 2.4 children per woman over the last decade.

Compare to Niger of almost 7 children per woman in 2023.

Niger followed by almost 20 African nations above 4.0.

Thailand needs more African women in Thailand to save the nation's collapsing population!

Elon Musk thinks population decline is a big threat to humanity

"And yet, so many people, including smart people, think that there are too many people in the world and think that the population is growing out of control. It's completely the opposite. Please look at the numbers – if people don't have more children, civilization is going to crumble, mark my words."

Fact check that soon and it will be "true."

Thailand will eventually be pressured into accepting and assimilating "Economic Migrants" although "Farangs" will never, ever be classed as "Economic Migrants."

Pretty soon Thailand will be pressured to accept "labor that is willing to take jobs that Thais refuse to do," as well as being pressured to accept "refugees" from the places across the globe where The West is blowing up civilization in the name of "Our Democracy."

Fyi.
Western "Our Democracy" doesn't mean Non-Western "our democracy."
As only Western Democracy (in its democratic, republican, socialist, communistic, or fascistic forms are true 'Democracies" according to "Fact Checkers" who are fully aligned to those promoting "Our Democracy" as "Our Democracy" actually means that you accept the "Rules Based International Order" wherein you obey the rules of those promoting "Our Democracy" and reject the rules of those promoting the international norms promoted by Non-Western "our democracy.

Confused?  You should be.

In the early 80s (Actually 1979) China drink the overpopulation kool aid and implemented that 1 child policy... Ask them how well that work out for them? I guess you can also ask Germany, Italy, South Korea, Russia, and throw in Thailand as well.

The reality is the World we used to live in... is no more. All these countries with their median age in their 40s and 50s in 20 years who will take over?

It is proof that they now understand family planning. If you cannot afford to bring up a kid, do not have one.

Yep.  How'd that work out.  And yet, there are still those in "elite circles" (WEF, UN, etc) who promote "The Fact" that overpopulation is destroying civilization.

Ironically, it will probably end up being under-population, as in, "not enough young slaves to serve the world's elites."

The world's population is still rising at 80 million per year. The biggest thing a person can do to protect the environment is have fewer children.  So many places are already ruined by overpopulation and consequent pollution.  I wonder how many of Musk's kids have any respect for him.

I don't have your level of contempt for women. I find them lovely and easy to get along with.

I rarely see them getting sh!tfaced drunk, getting into fights, exhibiting road rage, going on mass shooting sprees, engaging in genocide, they're much less likely to engage in terrorism. Most I know even work harder than men, and they don't beef and moan as much. Maybe I've just been lucky and met good ones.

Oh, and their bodies are glorious. Given the toll pregnancy takes on their bodies, I fully understand why many are now choosing not to have kids.

Many Thai companies already do that.

150 baht a day for Myanmar or Lao labor.

300-400 for Thai.

The more "educated" usually land jobs at 7/11 or other Sales clerk position.

Most descent jobs you'll need to bribe someone to get, no education necessary.

Society has made sex a taboo for years, as it remains today.

I know many nice girls who will struggle to find someone as their parents don't allow them space to find anyone. Some I know see it already as men are no longer interested in them. They are too old.
