Very strange. Do you have a proper router and know how to access the settings so you can see all activity? He may be accessing more than harmless videos.

Is that Mr Bean?

When I watch YouTube on my Samsung TV, I see that my Russian Neighbour has been searching for things.

How is this possible and what should I do to stop it?

Samsung Flip 4 phone, Samsung Smart TV.

Looks like you have both hacked into mine, now i'll have to sign out, and make a new password, and change my router pass name/number. :coffee1:   ( TOT have come before to help me do that using my laptop ) I think you should get Netflix for him also.

Best and easiest is to login to your router and change the WiFi password to a really tough one.

Death-to-Putin may work, if not Long-live-Putin. :giggle: or Glory-to-Ukraine.

Something similar happened to me when I was staying at a resort with a bunch of the same TV models installed in nearby bungalows. I was just minding my own business when suddenly my TV turned on and started showing porn.

The fella next door had managed to pair his remote with my TV and the bungalows were close enough together that his remote worked my TV, via Bluetooth. No hacking was involved.

I never said anything to him when I saw him, but let's just say his tastes were interesting.

I unplugged my TV after that.

I guess you could just switch off the router no and then so he gets bored of it.  It's not worth confronting him.  You will end up with a bad neaubour.  It doesn't really affect the wifi speed.

I get paid to watch YouTube videos, but don't think this has anything to do with that, I watch them, or actually just let them run on my laptop.

do you get paid to watch the adverts too? It is getting out of hand as some of them are 30 minutes long... I am going to have to pay money to stop the verts...

I get no adverts, I use a blocker.

I don't watch, I just play them on another browser from where I do my daily work.

So, you are paid to increase the number of hits that a video gets?

Forget all that, I would just get round there and beat the S out of him, esp being Russian (they all reckon they're hard until you get right up in their face). Then change your password.

image.png.d232694674744614e3f3e8a2ffd30ec4.pngThis looks useful

It is, but it only indicates devices that are signed into your google account. You can delete any device listed and that device would need to sign in again.

Better supervision should be done at network level and there is an app for android phones, not sure about other devices. It is called Net Analyser and will list all devices connected to the network and give the IP address and also some query options.

If you identify any unwanted devices you should be able to log in to the router and block the IP address.
