Hi…wonder if I could get some help.

Do you think the Hi Care filter paper rolls are as good and effective as the 3M ones.

And what about value for money.

I can’t really work out the length of the rolls on the ads.

Are they 250 cms long….?   And is the 3M product the same length…

What’s your experience?

Thanks in advance…

I get the pre filters at Chiang Mai Air Care Engineering on the 118 on the left ~200 meters before the 132/cm 700 road. Don’t know what brand it is, but it works good, fine mesh & free flowing.

I bought these, for a different purpose, and much larger than I thought.  Though not sure what I was thinking, as advert said will wrap around Xiaomi filter.   Was going to put one on interior intake vent, to cars AC,  for recirculating air, as last service, and the cars filter was clogged with dog fur :cheesy:

Delivery was quick enough (10 ish days).  Didn't use, as didn't look beforehand, and that vent isn't really accessible.

3m filtrete go up to 270cm in length (Lazada). These are the ones I use and have done for years.  No idea which is best but the prices can double this time of year.

Thanks…yes 300 baht now or so…. But I can’t make out the actual length of the roll by looking at the Lazada ad….

onr time they sent me just 4 individual precut squares instead of a roll…..cheating….

The 3M ones are brilliant and at approx. only 300B a roll though Lazada, why bother with trying any cheap imitation? i've used them for years and highly recommend.

That is a pure BS, waste of money.

They are not effective against PM2.5 particles.

They are not capable of filtering them.

I don’t know about the rolls for air conditioners, but the little air purifier I have is very effective. On the last few polluted days, my PM2.5 meter shows the level dropping from around 50 to around 10 only half an hour after switching the air purifier on.

If I were to manufacture one that would be a built-in feature🤔

I think the more expensive air purifiers do have inbuilt meters - mine just has a red light that shows high PM2.5. It was cheaper and better for me to buy a low cost air purifier and a good meter. For instance, I can easily take the meter outside on to the balcony, where it has shown some pretty disturbing readings the last few days.

You mean 3M are outright lying when they say they do filter pm2.5?
