The Pattaya Entertainment Industry Association highly praised the Thai government’s policy of extending entertainment opening hours until 4 AM, citing its positive impact on the local economy, and urging further expansion of legal entertainment zones.

They won't stop until they get 24/7 opening time.

Nothing has improved except for the night time bar flies. Football fans still can't watch live European games  (with an 8pm kick off)  in public.  Didn't have that problem pre covid.

I think a 9PM closing would be good....It would cut down on drunkenness and sex and make Pattaya a family resort....A 8PM closing would be even better....

Yeah, that'll be popular with the tens of thousands of residents who specifically want to live outside the noisy, crowded entertainment zones.

This success translates to benefits for employees as well. Mr. Damrongkiat revealed that service staff and waiters are seeing their daily earnings increase by 300-500 baht, translating to roughly 9,000-15,000 baht per month. This extra income has reduced their reliance on the government’s assistance programs and greatly improved the financial well-being of their families, Mr. Damrongkiat stated.

Forget about the fact that they now get home at 5:30 or 6 and then have to be at work at 5 or 6 the next day.

well why not ?   as long as it's within designated zones that don't disturb residents of the area  which is admittedly a problem at the moment due to lax enforcement of any king of zoning or noise requirements.
