webfact Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 Chonburi police are actively investigating the case of a burned body found in a forest near Wat Tam Prathun in Chonburi’s Banglamung district on January 13th, 2024. Pol. Lt. Col. Jiraphong Aeabfang, Deputy Chief of Investigation at Nongprue Police Station, received a report of the discovery around 6:00 PM. The body, located approximately 500 meters off a main road in Pong, belonged to an unidentified male between 165-170 cm tall. He exhibited signs of being burned, likely fueled by a car tire. Mr. Supol Kamjak, a 35-year-old school janitor from a nearby school, stumbled upon the terrifying scene while following unused electrical wires and walking his dog. He immediately notified the police. Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim was killed elsewhere and brought to the location for burning. However, due to rain, the body was not completely incinerated.
