There used to be a button  on the bottom right corner of my Asean Now page, and when selected it would take you to the top

I like to report the theft of it !

It was a very nice and useful button and over the years I had gotten attached to it. Well not physically but emotionally. 

I did not report the theft earlier because I was kind  of  hoping that the guilty party would return it, No questions asked.

I was even thinking of offering a reward for it's safe return. 

But scrolling to the top of the page . aside from the emotional toll, is really wearing on my aging buddy.  

Not sure how long I can take it!! 

I would appreciate it if you could use the considerable influence of your office , to convince the person or persons to return my beloved "Back to the top" button.

No questions asked, no hard feelings. 

 

You can just click the 'home button' on your keyboard that will do the same thing...

 

Its the <Function> + <left arrow>

 

or on a DeskTop, just the <home> button.... 

 

There is no need for anything programmed into the page itself.

Someone's confused with the use of a keyboard home button ??....

 

They've have to be a complete halfwit to be confused by that.

Amazing, never noticed that button on my keyboard before, and it works.

But what about when I'm using my phone or tablet?

No not the keyboard

On the Asean Now page on the bottom right corner there was a virtual button that you would click and it would take you to the top of the page. It had been there for years and now it no longer is. Is it only me , or has everyone lost it? (the button I mean  )

Just tap the top of the screen (status bar) - works for both Android and iOS...

Its not just you... another poster [Negita43] has also posted a thread about this... 

 

So it defaintely appears that some guys either do not know about keyboard short cuts, or are just not used to them and are in the habit of using the a 'Top of Page' button on the webpage itself...

 

So... it would be wise for AN to put it back - there's no reason to take it off. 

 

In the mean time, posters who want a home button still have convenient options.

... well, that's rather unfortunate, but if you're using a mouse it's a bit inconvenient even if working anyway ... try this browser extension <Scroll To Top Button>, fully customizable, free of course with 4.5 outta 5 stars which seems to be quite accurate, been using it for a couple years by now, no complaints:

Unfortunately I have a touch pad, and I am sure there must be a combination of gestures option that would accomplish a move to top. also I have the key combination of shift+ home , but both are a bit awkward to use for me. 

I was kind of hopping  there was a way to restore the Asean Now forum button. I think the issue might be that you cant get to the bottom of the page anymore. I tried to do it, and it kept on adding advertisements.
