I completely agree with you (he also won the Nobel Peace Prize) and was just making a rhetorical point that being a musician is no different from being in any other profession with respect to the right to voice a political opinion (and advance to the presidency). Absolutely. Carter is a decent honest man. Come to that, Regan, whatever you think of his political policies, was also essentially a decent man; the  reality TV host and serial bankrupt, who today is revealed to have been using eye watering amounts of the money donated to his political campaigns to pay his equally astronomical legal fees, well I am not so sure.
