Accident Bus Driver Blames Fainting Spell for Crash That Injured 23 Passengers in Nonthaburi
Picture courtesy of Komchadluek. Twenty-three passengers sustained minor injuries when an air-conditioned city bus driver, on Route 166, veered into a concrete barrier at the Chaeng Watthana expressway exit in Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi, on the morning of 23 April. Police Captain Thapanapong Phuengmee, traffic inspector at Pak Kret Police Station, responded to the emergency call at approximately 08:40. Emergency rescue teams were dispatched to the scene to assist the injured and transport them to local hospitals for treatment. The incident occurred just before the Chaeng Watthana expressway exit towards Bang Pa-in. The bus, registration from Bangkok, was found with damage to the driver’s side after crashing into the edge of the expressway barrier. Passengers were seen waiting outside the vehicle for assistance. According to reports, around 30 people were on board at the time of the crash, with 23 suffering minor injuries such as abrasions. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Mr. Krit, told police he experienced a sudden blackout while driving from the Victory Monument in central Bangkok. As the bus approached the expressway exit, he momentarily lost consciousness, causing the vehicle to swerve into the barrier. He was able to regain control and bring the bus to a safe stop. Police conducted alcohol and drug tests on Mr. Krit, both of which returned negative results. The bus company’s insurance provider has confirmed it will cover all medical expenses for the injured passengers. The damaged vehicle is being examined further to assess repair needs and confirm all safety protocols were in place at the time of the incident. Police investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident. Adapted by Asean Now from Komchadluek.2025-04-24. -

Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
Another day, another Russian warcrime https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvg857d844xo Not a malfunctioning missile, a stray bomb, a mistake by a pilot at 30,000 fet and 500 miles away. A drone, steering by a bloke on his phone, who might as looked into the eyes of the female commuters, as he decided that would be the one. Not a soldier in his dugout. Not a IFV sprinting across a field. Not even an ambulance. But a commuter bus. These FPVs make this a very personal war. Russian drone operators look into the eyes of women and children. Its creating lots of war criminals. The notion of collateral damage doesn't apply. This is genocide.
