Thinking?really?you Can Do That?why?

Okay, I think the following is loosely related to the topic:

Why is it those with the most pride, be they celebrity, successful, wealthy, poor, arrogant, whatever they might be, are usually the ones who are least secure in their lives?

Is it pride??? Or arrogance? I'm not sure, however, what they lack is 'self esteem'. Feeling good about oneself!

I think that this is because pride is something that one can lose and so it ultimately leads to insecurities at some level in proportion to its importance in ones life.

To have pride in the first place, requires a level of self-awareness which is often lacking. Pride throughout history has been manipulated by dictators, who turn their vision of pride into a rallying call for the weak with dreadful consequences.

Dangerous thing pride if you have no concept in what you should be truly proud about.
