Bumped into a old work colleague yesterday that I hadn't seen since April 2004

And we still continued our conversation like it was yesterday,in fact there was no greeting just a conversation about work like we hadn't been gone for 20 years!

Time has passed very quick .

I was shocked when he said....its been 20 years !!

Where was you in 2004?

What country? What was you doing ?

How has your life changed since 2004?

Who were the famous deaths in 2004?

The year 2004

So basically nothing changed in 20 years ! 😳

No life is dynamic, always changing.

House renovations never stop, children get older, different schools, different friends, I meet different parents.

It never stops, I love it.

I was working 2 days a week with full flexibility on my hours, and being well paid to be a consultant. The GFC ended that, but it was a great time.

Living in Ban Tad, A. Muang, Udon Thani.  Almost 4 yrs into my retirement.

Already divorces from first Thai wife.  Enjoying being single and parent to my village orphan.  Unlike now, home cooking, ate most of our meals in town after school run to pick up daughter.   Had a different favorite restaurant for all 5 days.

Lived rural, 15+ kms out of town.  2 yrs away from meeting present wife, 2006.

Yes, still rural, moved from Ban Tad, UT, to Ban Nong Kae, Muang, UT, and rural there for another 6 yrs, before daughter graduated high school.  Then left UT, to PKK, for my final resting place :coffee1:  Still rurual, but <5 kms from everything instead of 15+.   Really don't even need a car.

Daughter graduated Uni, and works at Krung Thep, as no work here for her, and likes the city life.  Working & investing in RE (chip off the ol' block).   Since an adult, she legally adopted us, easier since birth parents are MIA, and we couldn't before that.

Only change, replaced daughter with dog, so now still have a therapist to talk to.

Along with being as self sufficient as possible; solar/EVs, and fruit/veggie garden.  No need for PTT/petrol, PEA/electric and if more storage tanks, could get rid of PWA, but to convenient & cheap.

I am concerned with bad grammar, spelling and English usage anywhere. Learn from being corrected.

Talking about that , I notice a lot of young people now on tiktok etc using the word "bro" ...other words such as "mate" etc are fading out

How are you mate is now How are you bro😳
