Pravda was one heck of a liar, and from Pravda came Celcius who will be bitching about Canada in a few months as well. Got to love losers.

The 22 square meter place was his wife's. She is going to be surprised when she finds out Celcius is expecting her to support him in Canada as she did in Thailand. He is a naturalized Canadian as well.

You need to relax. Stop being such a crank.

It was true in Australia, in the eighties. I was given most of  what is mentioned by the OP, plus an airfare from Europe, plus unemployment benefits until I landed my first job (couple of weeks..). "The jobs in demand" scheme was working like clockwork.

The Canadian health service is fine . Don't believe the propagander put out by US insurance companies. I can't see how having a for profit company between the doctor and his patient can be better. I had a hip replacement ,didn't cost a dime. If I need a doctors appointment I just give them a call "what day would you like to come in?" "morning or afternoon?" no problem and free again. Also I am over 65 so all my pills are free.

you must have some sort of extra coverage to be receiving free pills. does that come with your cpp ?

something that is not offered or available to many other people in canada. seems you are lucky to have a family physician as that is also something not in abundance. some others might not be thinking the same as you about the system.

A new report by the Fraser Institute shows most Canadians waited longer to see a specialist and receive treatment in 2023.

According to the conservative-leaning think tank, the wait time for a referral from a general practitioner to getting treatment by a specialist increased to 27.7 weeks in 2023 from 27.4 weeks in 2022.

In Torronto I have worked in real estate and the cost of living as well as restaurants -bars are very expensive concequently this is the main reason which Canadians do not go out in Canada because its very-very expensive and Canadians go daily out only in other countries for vacation or for permanent residence. The average house cost at least CAD$1.500.000 and if you find cheaper price it is in quetto crominal areas where its very dangerous. They will kill you drug users in order to find selters in ....prisons and food.....

Forget it!

Reads like some countries universal healthcare is literally killing people (letting people die) from delayed treatment ... IMHO

5 months to over a year for treatment, what could go wrong.  Great system :cheesy:

Don't see the Yukon or NWT. When they were checking me out for a hip replacement I asked them how long was the wait. I was told you will get your hip when you can't walk down the road anymore. As I don't walk down the road much I did not realise how bad it was. I was heading to my hotel the day before my operation , it was about a one mile walk but I could not do it . Anyway I got the hip replacement and it turned out fine.

No extra coverage, It's about where you live as Canada has no national health service each province or territory controls their own health care programs. I live in a rural area of the Yukon.
