SIM card router that has portforwarding?

Featured Replies

I got a SIM card router that doesn't have any way to forward ports so that I can connect to my Raspberry Pi from outside.
Is there any SIM router available here that can do that?

Check to see if your router has Bluetooth....

Courtesy of Gemini IA (The AI formerly known as Bard). Whether any of these are available here is another matter, also check the spec. of the local variant.

EDIT The TP-Link TL-MR100 looks promising https://www.lazada.co.th/products/tp-link-tl-mr100-300-mbps-wireless-n-4g-lte-router-sim-router-network-hitechubon-i1086618841-s2460982891.html

Yes, there are several SIM (mobile network) routers that have port forwarding or a DMZ feature. Here are a few examples:

Why would a router have Bluetooth? And how would that help with port forwarding?

I think you have to check with AIS, DTAC or True to see if they support Port Forwarding, and via which DDNS

AFAIK, DTAC does not. AIS and True may under request?

I think this router supports port forwarding:

I have a RUIO ZLT X21G from AIS, 5G router.  It has Port Forwarding menu, as well as DMZ, etc.

However, looking through their website, they don't appear to offer this anymore.  It was exceptionally fast and stable for almost 1.5 years, but in last 3 months started locking up periodically.  I suspect this is because I had to move to a different office further inside the building.

If you could find a 2nd hand one, might be worth checking out.  Was about 7,000 baht new.  1200 baht/month unlimited 5G up and down.

edit:  Looks like Lazada still sells them.  Highly recommend if you have good 5G signal in your area with AIS.

I've got the TL-MR100  router now and it has pot forwarding.
However, I can't connect from outside.
As someone mentioned maybe true does not allow for this.

A call to TRUE confirmed that their SIM cards don't allow port forwarding.
But I think there are other ways to get this done.
