Got new gel TRANSDERMALGEL 20 mg/g (2%) which is working very well compared to anything else I have been using. Not as aggressive as injections, but better than other 50mg gel I have used.

Comes with an applicator, so no need to get gel on your hands.

If I am going to bring from europe, how much Im allowed to bring?

I used to have my UK prescription mailed to me here in Thailand for several years. It was sent in regular EMS type mail and was never opened. The medicines were free, so I declared zero value and classified them as medicines on the customs form. I can't imagine why Testavan would be different.

Having said that private hospitals seem to be able to get almost anything here....the problem is that they often add a big mark-up. But no harm in asking say a Bangkok Hospital or Bumrungrad if they have it, cannot it, and what the price is.

The official rule is 30 day supply but it is not strictly enforced as long as amount looks consistent with personal use.

Mailing to yourself is hit or miss, key is to keep quantities small and never use a courier only regular post. Like that will usually get through but no guarantee.

There is a testosterone gel product available in Thailand though not Testovan brand.    Androgel which contains 50 mg per 5 g sachet (normally 1 sachet = 1 dose but I suppose you could divide in half though no way to get that division to be exact). Can be bought from pharmacies, no need to ask a  hospital. But not cheap. About 2,500 baht for 30 sachets.

I have used the other brand testo gel, and prefer Testovan. Less gel needed, because of it absorption properties, and very handy applicator, which can be used with gel in sackets also of course.

Still have Bayer 250mg in Thailand, so not really needed to bring. Just curious if available, and what is the rules if I bring. 80g one bottle is enough for 50 days of use. Since Im staying 70 days I would need two bottles 160g total.

Not likely to have any issue with that.

Hi, I am in a similar situation. I have been on Testosterone for many years and now my Swedish doctor want to stop with Nebido 1000 mg/4 ml due to high HB value. And start with a gel. Preferable with a pump or applicator. Considering I will move to Thailand later it would be a good idea if I start with a testosterone brand that is available in Thailand. Were can I find that information? I have been in contact with 2 pharmacies, Southeast and Medisafe, and it look like they have only Androgel that Sheryl mentioned before. And not with a applicator just sachets. And rather expensive too.

So I would like to ask if there are other gels? For example Tostrex or Testogel? And at what pharmacy could I ask for that with a descent chance to find something?

There is no other topical form of Testosterone available here. Just Androgel.

For getting that, in Bangkok, Southeast Pharmacy is good bet.

Same reason for me, High Hemoglobin, and had no issues with proper hydration (4-5 l a day) walk one hour a day and work out with weights regularly using testoviron 250mg bayer enenthate every 17 - 21 days.

Also easily available in Thailand.

So you are not into gel? My doctor prescribed Testavan in Sweden and hoped that the Hemoglobin would go down. He said better take that then Nebido with its ups and downs. That was 1000 mg Nebido every 12 weeks. The Homoglobin did go down some but not enough. So now he is into a smaller dosage and that is not easy with Testavan so he is into this Tostrex. Or Testogel. Do youu know if they are available in Thailand? What pharmacy do you use for buying the 250 mg Bayer? Maybe that pharmacy have Tostrex or Testogel.

Thanks for the quick answer, Sheryl. OK, The only gel in Thailand is Androgel and that is in satches.

So then I will talk to my doctor about that. Another last resort would be to try the 250 mg Bayer and inject those every 4 or 5 weeks and extent that if the Hemoglobin is still high.

I have taken injections myself in my legs 12-15 years ago so I can do that again. I actually think that was the Bayer 250 mg. but not sure. That was before the doctor recommended Nebido 1000 mg.

Is it possible to buy needles and ampuls in Thailand at Southest Pharmacy you think?

That is if the doctor things that is better than the Androgel. I am not sure we have that in Sweden. And because it it in satches it is not so easy with the exact dosage.

I use Testovan when in Norway, and Testoviron in Thailand.

I haven't bought any for two years now, since I still have, so I'm not updated on which pharmacy's  have stock.

Last place I saw testogel/androgel, they wanted 3000,- baht for a box with 30 x 50mg sackets

OK, so gel in Norway and injection in Thailand is that correctly understood? That is a way I could do it as well. Tostrex in Sweden and Testoviron in Thailand. I will talk with my doctor about that if Androgel is not a good way. If we have Androgel in Sweden then I could take that in both countries. If it is possible to get a sufficient dosage. Have you checked your HB levels now? Still to high or are they coming down?

I am still on Testavan until doctor decides how to go on in a couple of weeks. That depends on what I can get in Thailand. The Testavan is fine I think but doctors word was that is hard to make the correct dosage with that pump. I take 2 "click" Testavan every day and one click is to little. 1,5 would theoretically maybe be best but the dosage will not be exactly same every day. The Tostrex click´s are smaller in ml of gel coming out so maybe 2 clicks Testavan is same as 4 clicks Tostrex. So more easy to just take 3 clicks Tostrex then.

I just got the price of 2400 THB for Androgel 30´s sachets at Southeast so they seems to be cheaper. Do you remember the price for Testoviron 250 mg?

My levels have been good after I started to move more, eat more decent, drink 4-5L clean water every day. Protein shakes and coffe not counted.

My levels rised after a period of inactivity, and now I am around 15-16g/dl

And I try to keep y T levels around 700- 1000ng/dl

One pump made me down to 300ng/dl, now I'm doing 2 - 3 pumps.

Testogel or androgel is same, just a different brand, and I really do not like it in hot climate like Thailand.

Testovan is much better gel, but I prefer testoviron. Rotexmedica was also easy available in Thailand, not sure they changed name yet.

Just stay away from underground labs, which is easily available everywhere in Thailand.

Thanks for all your information. Very good to hear your story as it helps me as well and widens my horizon.

OK so movement and exercise can help about Hemoglobin. I did not know that. I try to walk as much as possible but it is not the funniest thing to do. I also have some dumbells and have done

some weightlifting long time ago. Maybe I should start with that again.

The hot climate might be a problem with the gel I have not thought of that before. Good point.

My Hemoglobin is 172 g/L and T is 23.1 nmol/L, so the HB is to high and T is OK.

If you are active, and stay hydrated, 17, is upper level, but still not, or should not be an issue if you do not have any other medical issues.

At what time do you measure your HB? Morning and  Fasting?

At once you eat and drink you get "normal" levels. Try to stay hydrated 24 hours before you take nest bread test.

Alchohol do also make you dehydrated, as well to much coffe, so be careful with that if you want to see an improvement.

When on TRT it is recommended to exercise regularly.

I use hormone gels (female hormones in my case, LOL) and no problem at lll in this climate. I apply at night, after showering and just before bed.

Patches are a real problem in this climate, and creams to a lesser extent, but most gels are alcohol based and leave little residue on the skin after absorption.

The problem with male hormon gel and a partner it can transmit.

Male fel hormon is better taken in the morning.

Also to consider when applying gel and male hormon production

The majority of the daily testosterone release in men occurs during sleep. Sleep fragmentation and obstructive sleep apnea are associated with reduced testosterone levels. In older men, morning testosterone levels are partly predicted by total sleep time

 Apply after sex, before sleep?

Even if you must apply in morning, from my experience these alcohol based gels absorb quite fast and do nto leave a film that would cause sweating the way creams etc do.

After application, testosterone levels achieve their peak in ≈ 2–4 h, then decrease to pre-application levels at ≈ 12 h, broadly mirroring the natural diurnal rhythm of male testosterone. Testavan 2% gel also improved sexual, physical and mental functioning, fatigue and health-related quality of life.

I find injections more convenient, and I use gel in Norway, because the only option here is Nebido, and my Dr do not want to give permission to inject myself on other T.

Anyway, the gel type Testovan is much better than Testogel/Androgel in my opinion, especially used with the applicator.

Thanks for the info. That sounds good. I have used patches long time ago and that was not good. Maybe the patches were not god and upto the medical standard of today but I got big skin loss when I pealed of the patches after 24 hours. That was not pleasant at all so I stopped with that and that time I started with injections instead.

Have you ever tried Tostrex? Similar to Testavan and with an applicator I think.

What do you mean the only option is Nebido? There are another injections as well, 250 mg/1ml, I don´t know the name but i think is is Bayer.

Why is the doctor not giving permission to inject yourself? That sounds strange.

Patches don't work well at all in this climate, you sweat under them.

But alcohol based gels are fine.
