Thailand unveils new visa rules, sparks mixed reactions
All is good, except for the possibility of increasing numbers of digital nomads. These are just the new hippies of our modern age. I did not like the hippies of the 60s. Same goes for the nomads of the past decade. When are they going to make it easier for those on a retirement visa? That would be nice. I think the retirement-visa guys among us are underappreciated. People on retirement obey the laws, respect the local culture, and spend a lot of money which is totally brought in from other countries. We should get more respect. -

All the Blood pressure medications
I use olmetec (an arb), and chlovas (a statin). and have no physical side effects. Blood tests are normal, LDL went from 160 to 84 in less than 3 months. I don't think any amount of garlic can reduce blood pressure appreciably. Neither exercise in my case for BP and a change in diet did not change my LDL. -

Don't try to deflect. My question was: Wasn't it you who first mentioned "used tampons" (and "in boy's bathrooms..")? -

Paris Olympics: Officials play down Covid fears after water polo players test positive
Swimming-UK's Peaty back in action after worst of weeks with COVID Updated Aug 03, 2024 PARIS - Adam Peaty returned to the Olympic pool on Saturday after what he described as the worst week of his life recovering from COVID. The triple gold medallist, who went into isolation after taking silver in last Sunday's 100 metres breaststroke, helped Britain reach the final of the men's 4x100 medley relay at the La Defense Arena. ... The 29-year-old said he got back in the pool on Wednesday night but was still not symptom-free and was now struggling with an ear infection. "It's probably the worst week of my life in terms of how my body is, and that's no exaggeration," he said. "Everything's come at once. Since COVID, it's just every day waking up with a different thing." (more) https://www.straitstimes.com/sport/swimming-peaty-back-in-action-after-worst-of-weeks-with-covid -
