The recent victory of George Galloway, a controversial figure with a history of inflammatory rhetoric, in the Rochdale by-election has only heightened concerns within the Jewish community. Galloway's past statements and associations have raised alarm bells among Jewish organizations, who fear that his election could embolden antisemitic sentiments and normalize hate speech. The Board of Deputies of British Jews has condemned Galloway's win as a "dark day" for the UK's Jewish community, highlighting the growing sense of unease and apprehension among its members.

And so what?   Are they harming anybody by dressing like that?   What's your dress-code like?

That isn't the point being made. If a fundamentalist of either Judaism or Islam were to visit a stronghold of the opposition while in full fundamentalist regalia, would anyone be surprised if they got a bit of "agro"? If they want to dress up in costume in their own areas, that's up to them, but they should be safe enough. However, if they want to go out in the general public, it behooves them to try an blend in a bit. After all, it's only a costume and taking it off doesn't mean that they lost their religion.

Nothing like a bit of fearmongering to support the "we are victims" messaging.

I find it vile and inhumane to support the continued slaughter of civilians in order to exact retribution against Hamas, tot he last man, whether present on October 7th or not while, at the same time refusing to state whether the Palestinians should have a state and whether or not all of Gaza and the West Bank belong to Israel.

This is not a war. Which nation was war declared against? This was a policing operation against terrorists. It is not a 1967 replay. If you claim this is a war at least acknowledge that the 1967 war never ended. There is only a ceasefire agreement with Egypt. Just like ww1 and we know how that turned out. If there is a war, it started in 1948 when two million people were forced from their homes, a clear act of genocide. It was a huge mistake not to have created a simultaneous Palestinian nation. That is did not happen can only be a tip of the hat to the zionist ideal that the entire region belongs to Israel.

Israeli declared "war". Bush was ridiculed for declaring a "war on terror". Which nation did Israel declare a war against?

A declaration of war is a formal act by which one state announces existing or impending war activity against another.

Well, if you don’t think that invading a sovereign country and slaughtering 1,200 of its citizens including young party goers, children, pregnant women, babies and holocaust survivors, is a declaration of war on the invaded sovereign country, you have hatred issues far beyond redemption.

It was a terrorist attack by a group of terrorists. It was not the act of a nation state. You can't contend that Hamas aren't soldiers but terrorists and that they engaged in war at the same time. If Hamas are an army and committed atrocities against Israel then the same can be said about the IDF.

Acts of terror are crimes, not declarations of war.

You are making excuses for these people which in itself is despicable, they started this war now they are losing this war, and they are suddenly playing the victim, they are not the victim, they are the instigators.

Show me where I'm making excuses for a terrorist organization I have explicitly condemned time and again.

Complete and utter apologist nonsense. Hamas are the legitimate Government of Gaza, and have been for the last 18 years. The legitimate Government of Gaza carried out the invasion and atrocities on 7th October, atrocities that can only be described as a declaration of war on Israel  ….

Your continual denial of the facts is making you look completely disingenuous.

Israel is a Nation ..... something else you've learned today

The definition is one nation state against another, something you seem to be unable to learn. Are both nation states or not? It was Israel who declared the "war". not Hamas. Hamas engaged in a terror attack.

Why has the ICC been investigating both Hamas and Israel for possible "war crimes"?

You don't listen, you have been caught out so many times but like the Black Knight you keep coming back for more punishment. You purposely use the word "genocide" to flame these boards, you know as well as anybody on here that Israel is not committing Genocide, you use the expression to fuel the fire, just the same as your vitriol use of the word Zionist.

non sequitur. War can ONLY occur between two nation states.

ALL of Hamas demands in the current hostage negotiations are eminently reasonable

Difficult to believe that any sane or reasonable person would spout such vile nonsense; when someone from a Western society, someone that has obviously had the privilege of a Western education, thinks that the abduction of hostages is perfectly acceptable, and that their demands for release are imminently reasonable, the world is indeed in grave danger.

Out of interest, although you probably won’t want to say, but how, and why did you become a supporter of this terrorist organisation ?
