Buying Lenovo Chromebook in Bangkok

Folks,

I'd like to buy a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3i Chromebook Plus - but I can't for the life of me find where I would buy it in Bangkok.

I can order it from abroad, but I'm mostly scared of the customs applying some nice markup to it. Any suggestions?

I just did some work on a Lenovo ideapad, I was surprised, depending on part number, some don't have a cooling fan......... :huh:

these are 15 inches with Windows - I'm looking for a 14" with ChromeOS - I'm finding it difficult to find it even on other markets 😕

Did you have a look @ the Ideapad Range ? This is the manufacturer's website...

Better to think twice about to buy a Lenovo, they still have the manufacturing Problem with the Hinges. My ones were broken both sides after 12 month. And Lenovo refused to repair under warranty, even if I have 12 more month of Premium Warranty.

Computers come into Thailand duty free. Not sure if a Chromebook qualifies. I bought a 17" hi-spec HP notebook from Amazon for 50% of what a similar spec unit cost in BKK.

Free shipping, no duty and just a small admin fee ($60?). Delivered to my house in under 2 weeks. No drama. Good luck.

Well that's very interesting ( disturbing) info ...they had my wife scan the line code with her phone at Jomtien this Tuesday too and said there might be extra stuff required or a longer wait this year as head office had told them to be 'more strict', they have always come to visit us at home but during the Covidiocy they did not come into the house we sat outside in the garden while they interviewed the witness...at least this year we got the nicer of the 2 immigration officers raking over the piles of rainforest, thank the Buddha for small mercies 😋

No, it's not violence. It's damaging property, trespassing, disturbing the peace, failing to comply with law enforcement, etc., etc.. If I get angry about something it doesn't give me the right to burn your tesla, block your driveway, vandalize your house, etc.. Pattaya most certainly remains the number one location in the world for suicides and death, falling from a building, and/or suspicious falls from a building. I understand financial stress as I felt it before in this life, and it is a horrible feeling, but a terrible health problem is much worse and the thing about financial stress is that it can be addressed if you're industrious and creative you can always figure out a way to make money, it's not a reasonable reason to take your own life. The thing about suicide is it just leaves behind and enormous wake of destruction when it comes to the people that cared about you.
