Monk killed by mobile car parking roof.

19.00 on June 8, 2024, Sai Noi Police Station received a report that the roof of a wheeled parking structure had collapsed and killed a monk, at Sai Yai Temple, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi Province.

A number of monks were reported to have be pushing the heavy roof across the parking lot. The wheels were said to be very stiff on the 20 year old roof shelter.and as it was being pushed across a change in level of the concrete car park, the rusted steel wielded joints at the top of the structure broke and hit the 52 year old monk, full force, striking his head and killing him almost instantly.
