Apart from that I really wonder what kind of notebook cost 500k, is fragile enough to be easily damaged, and then can't be repaired.

AFAIK the Acer Predator 21X were  up around 500k when released.

damage that curved screen and its gunna be exxy to fix !

If you make them angry enough the outpatient hospital bill you end up with alone cost more than a new computer. Anyone knows that if you fix something here, it is always on your own risk. That even includes fixing your own body up at dentists or hospitals. Laws of the jungle: you are responsible for you.

Thanks I didn't know I could do that for free. I can send a demand letter for free? The lawyer I see asked 8k another said 15k for the demand letter. The first one said if we go to first court it's 50k.

There are very high end laptops costing these prices:

Wow that is amazing. But I don't understand. A similar specked Macbook Pro costs Bht. 154,400

I asked them in person already they admitted their mistake but can't pay or fix what they broke.

Doesn't that tell you something? They don't have money... I think the legal fees will likely be more than the loss.

Any good lawyers that won't cost a fortune to win? I have all the evidence.

Ever heard of good lawyers that win cases that don't cost a fortune? Yeah, neither have I.

Hell, even the shady AF lawyers charge through the nose.

CCTV camera, written admission on document, admission on text messages and promise to fix it, original condition report that doesn't mention what they destroyed when I brought it.

It's a laptop so I can't estimate the damage if there is no spare parts to fix it and without fixing it, the laptop is useless so about 500K in total value.

Are you for real 500 K .

A good Mac is about halve that price .One can get a Decent Mac for 50  K

What are you trying to do ? Make some money

Anyway you won't have a hope in Hell to get what you Really want.

what seems to be missing in all this is how long have you owned this 500k laptop(plus when released to the market) and what was wrong with it that needed fixing in the first place, the answer to these two questions will go a long way to anyone supporting you. You can have a really expensive laptop/computer but their value drops considerably as they age and they are superceded with technology, their value can halve inside a year and if it was broken the value drops even more(may even make them virtually worthless), so far you have evaded the age and problem it had and they are very important to all this. As someone that has been building computers for over 20 years I know exactly how fast high priced computers/laptops/components drop in value and how something breaking/becoming a problem can render them to the scrap heap if it cannot be replaced especially if they are no longer made.

I don't wish to be rude to you but the OP had mentioned it several times !

Show me where they have told us what exactly was broken.

Ok, let me contribute:

Buy a (portable) desktop PC, with standard parts.

The parts are easy to get and easy to replace one by one.

Problem solved.

What a contribution. Have you ever been thinking he might need a laptop for mobile work?

If you wonder about what laptop has that price tag, you can see it on the link the OP provided in the conversation above. Actually, you can find them for about 320 000 baht, but many sell them higher.

The question was "which part, exactly, was broken?"Did you just wake up?

It's the laptop that's broken. He also wants to sue for lost revenue.

Just curious but is the laptop repair shop Certified OEM Repair Shop for your computer brand, for example if you have an ASUS W590G6T-PS99 ProArt StudioBook One 15.6" Mobile Workstation laptop, did you go to repair shop that is a certified ASUS repair facility?

If so, then you write to ASUS corporate (or the corporate headquarters of the brand of laptop you own) and file a formal complaint.
If not, then you are probably out of luck.

If I had a 500k THB computer, trust me, I'd only have it serviced by a certified repair facility for that brand of computer.
Caveat Emptor: buyer beware.

There is a nice Asus repair center in Lat Krabang, I had a laptop repaired there, great service, a bit on the pricy side as I remember.

Not to rub it in but that was like taking a Bugatti Chiron to Dumbchai Retardiporn's corner saleng repair shop in Buriram's poorest village for a check engine light diagnostic.

Feel for you regardless....

I think this thread is about a real computer, not a mac. 😉

Actually, that old Mac is probably worth more than 500k baht now 🙂

To add my 2 baht, I think the OP has about ZERO chance of getting any compensation for his broken laptop.  He definitely has ZERO chance of compensation for lost wages etc. This is not Kansas (or London or Sydney).  This is a low-end computer shop in Pattaya.  The OP is in total lala dream land...

To be fair, I had a vendor break an iPhone. I told him to replace it. He said that he would but started to make excuses after a while. I brought the Tourist Police to his shop and together we fixed a deadline. Phone was produced on time.

Yes it was authorized shop. Asus confirmed and they told me they're trying to find a solution. It's just that Asus doesn't have spare parts for what they broke nor the same laptop. Only other companies have this model in stock.

You think Asus would be responsible indirectly then because after all this shop is acting as their agent.
