A local witness, awaiting a bus across the road, initially ignored the commotion, dismissing it as another drunken quarrel among Indian tourists—a common event in this neighbourhood.

How nice... but what about the image?

Seems to me the media lately have been going out of their way to find criticism of foreigners.

"The incident is reminiscent of a recent attack involving three Vietnamese loan sharks who severely injured a debtor in Pattaya's city centre."

not reminiscent at all, other than violence: Indian tourist brawl equal to shake down by loan sharks? What AI writes this stuff?

Nah, the Swiss, Russians, Belgiuns, Brits, Viets, and now Indians are providing plenty of incidents to criticize.

People should learn to behave in countries where they are guests.

Poor old Thai people are the ones that have to sort them all out. And usually volunteers.

Def: Symbol of snake/dragon eating its own tail.

But wondering if it applies to jackasses, as it seems it ought to post debate.
