Heads up for any folk with a report coming up,

the website will be down this weekend for

maintenance from 9am Sunday July 21 until

9am Monday july 22.

Best get in quick, we know what happens when

they try to fix something that ain't, broke.

Got to admire them....always on top of these things....making sure everything runs as smooth as clockwork.

Good job I did mine on Monday and got it on Tuesday. Always a good fast service. It is a pity there is no way to do Retirement visa renewals online. One day maybe? But not in my lifetime.

One day we will laugh about back in the day when we used

to have to go in person to immigration to renew an extension,

but as you say, not in this life.

It's broken already, at least for roughly 50 percent of people trying to use the system.

They're just "trying" to implement more boxes (shoe size, the birthday of your parents, etc.), and questions they've got the answers to already anyway.
Profed by mountains of photocopies.

Down on Sunday morning, back up on Monday morning. Considering there is a 15 day window to report, I can't see that there will be many (if any) inconvenienced.

Credit where credit is due, this online reporting has been a great success for most (noting that some people seem not to be able to use it).

Agree.

How about re-entry permits online, or residency certificates. They already have all our info.

Maybe it might actually work for most of us now.

We can only hope.

May be that's why they do maintenance? At least the hope is there that the System get improved. We will see next week.

Might be a tad difficult to self-declare at your local immigration office instead during business hours, though, since all offices are closed between 9:00AM on Sunday 21 July and 9.00AM on Monday 22 July (the second date being a public holiday)!

Trust you are not harbouring any doubts that online reporting

will be back up and running bright and early Monday morning.

Perish the thought.
