Trump's turn to face the age question . . . .

Recommended Posts

After Team Trump have mercilessly hammered Joe Biden about his age, now it's now dangerous Don's turn to take the heat on this front. After all, were Trump to be elected in November, he would be significantly older than Joe Biden is now.

Though Trump appears physically fitter than Biden right now, doubts over Trump's frequent bizarre statements and personal sanity abound. In the  background, inexperienced VP candidate Vance and the clouds surrounding Project 2025, the differences between the GOP and democratic positions are about to become stark indeed.

It will be good to see this drama unfold. Can the Dems reassert some sanity into US politics?

Am I missing something ?

Joe Biden is currently 81  while trump is 78 ???

and will become 82 the end of his 2. term

Usa should consider age restrictions, can not be older than 65 when running for the seat first term. Usa constitution have become the Vatican, rule to you die

The only person that Trump could beat? Biden. The only person that Kamala Harris could beat? Trump.

I think some fresh blood would do and very much needed for the whole of America. One conservative enough to please some of the Republicans, and one liberal enough to pull the Dems together.

What America do not need is another green ideologist who continue to focus on minorities, but make sure everyone will have their legal rights no matter who they are, and what they are.

Sorry Denim - to clarify, I meant at the end of the coming term, that is 2028. It's a serious point - Trump comes over as quite barmy already. ATB

Nobody was hammering Biden about his age. They were hammering him because he was physically and mentally unfit to be president.  His memory was shot, he could not speak normally, he had serious lapses and 'freezing up', he could not finish a sentence without wandering off topic. The Democrats would LOVE to frame this as age though.

I would take JD's version of 'inexperience' over Kamala's any day of the week. Both were first term Senators, yet JD obviously has the better resume, has served his country in the military, worked in the private sector, and has a better academic pedigree. Oh, and is 20 years younger.

You forgot Attorney General / Prosecutor.

Not sure what that has to do with the issue of age, but anyway (to quote Joe Biden).

She WAS a prosecutor. And prosecuted people for crimes she herself committed. Also, rising through the ranks of California state Democratic politics is not exactly a difficult journey for someone with Kamala's chromosones and 'talents'.

You want to put her against the hardscrabble child who survived the ravages of Appalachia, volunteered for the Marines in the wake of 9/11? Good luck with that.

Kamal is the living embodiment of the Peter Principle.

Misogyny and racism -- that's where the magas will go.

It ain't gonna work.

Care to explain? Or just leave the flailing personal attack on its own.

Nobody need worry about misogyny or racism. Kamala will easily enough torpedo her own campaign (if she secures the nomination) all on her own.  The more the public is exposed to her, the more they will loathe her.

Don't gaslight and then deny it.

Everyone can see your post.

Don't even bother playing innocent.

It's not misogyny and racism to state the simple fact that her gender and race got her the job as VP.  Hell, Biden admitted as much himself.

Seems to me, regardless of who you support, be it Trump or Harris. Americans have lost the plot. You people are so polarised one way or another. It's sad to see. The hate displayed for one or other candidate is so over the top.

At what stage do you people stop this nonsense and come together for the good of the country? The USA is Fk-ed.

It's irrelevant if that is true or not because Trump will never agree to debate her.

He's scared shirtless of facing her and people seeing the contrast of his orange caked makeup over his sickly pale dotard self with a vibrant black woman in her prime.

Hardly vibrant, and at pushing 60 hardly in her prime. As to her ethnic background, she is more Brahmin Indian than anything else. Her father is from Jamaica and of mixed race, and boasted about being a descendant of one of Jamaica's largest OWNERS of slaves.  She has no ties to or connection to American descendants of slavery whatsoever.

So now you're playing the eugenics card? Pathetic.

Look dude she grew up in the U.S. and experienced what black people in the U.S. experience.

She has nothing to do with the sins of her father.

She grew up in Montreal with her mother, then in the gilded cage of Berkeley. I would be amazed if her "experience" was anything like what most black Americans face.

Born in Oakland.

She did spend time in her youth in Montreal.

Great city. What's next, a Canadian birther accusation?

Her family moved around the midwest, then there was a divorce, and the area she lived in Berkeley with her single mother was a black poorer area. Berkeley isn't a gilded monolith, a large part of is just like Oakland. So she related to African American culture. Is that a problem for you?

There is no one way to be black, Indian, or anything else, dear heart.
