Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Good luck with that if you get audited. The tax website allows allowance for "Approved provident fund contributions paid by taxpayer or spouse." Is your fund approved? In Thailand, provident funds are covered under the Provident Fund Act. The Provident Fund is established as a juristic person and registered. After the appointment with the fund management company, the fund must be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) according to the Securities and Exchange Act. This is similar to allowance for life insurance and health insurance only for Thai registered companies, no capital gains tax only for SET companies. Any allowance for an Australian provident fund would have to be spelled out in the THAI-OZ DTA. -

That's assuming the Chinese don't build any more dams in Tibet. They have more than one thousand dams there already. 1 billion people in Asia depend on that water for growing food. It will make current economic migrations look petty in comparison. In human history, how many wars do you think have been fought over water? -

Considerably better. What's your point? The German economy shrank a surprising amount in the second quarter of 2024. Gross domestic product fell by 0.1% between April and June as compared to the previous quarter. Germany therefore performed worse than the eurozone, which grew by 0.3% as compared to the first quarter, in spite of Germany's economic weakness. UK gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to have increased by 0.6% in Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2024, following an increase of 0.7% in Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024. Compared with the same quarter a year ago, GDP is estimated to have increased by 0.9% in Quarter 2 2024. -

Actually I think it's all BS myself, as many climatologists don't agree with global warming. "Whether most scientists outside climatology believe that global warming is happening is less relevant than whether the climatologists do. A letter signed by over 50 leading members of the American Meteorological Society warned about the policies promoted by environmental pressure groups. “The policy initiatives derive from highly uncertain scientific theories. They are based on the unsupported assumption that catastrophic global warming follows from the burning of fossil fuel and requires immediate action. We do not agree.”2 Those who have signed the letter represent the overwhelming majority of climate change scientists in the United States, of whom there are about 60." McMichael and Haines quote the 1995 report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is widely believed to “prove” that climate change induced by humans has occurred.3 The original draft document did not say this. What happened was that the policymakers’ summary (which became the “take home message” for politicians) altered the conclusions of the scientists. This led Dr Frederick Seitz, former head of the United States National Academy of Sciences, to write, “In more than sixty years as a member of the American scientific community ... I have never witnessed a more disturbing corruption of the peer-review process than the events that led to this IPCC report.”4 Policymaking should be guided by proved fact, not speculation. Most members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change believe that current climate models do not accurately portray the atmosphere-ocean system. Measurements made by means of satellites show no global warming but a cooling of 0.13°C between 1979 and 1994.5 Furthermore, since the theory of global warming assumes maximum warming at the poles, why have average temperatures in the Arctic dropped by 0.88°C over the past 50 years?5" -
