Hunter Biden Felony Fest - the new trial begins:

This, contrary to opinion, is the real reason why Joe was thrown under the bus. There was no way the Democrats could have allowed this trial to dominate the election season. Will it leak over to wider damage? I don't think so - but wow, horrendous optics.

President Biden is not the first father to have a child with problems. There isn't a family in the USA that doesn't have a member or relative who doesn't have a a drug/alcohol, or gambling or other mental health issue.  He is also not the first parent to do their utmost to help a problem child. It's called being a loving parent.

Continually trying to link issues that the President had no control over is  not just puerile, but petty. It is why so many people who are pro family are repulsed by the hypocritical pearl clutchers who are quick to criticize, but conceal so much in their own closets.

Give it a rest. President Biden is  leaving office in January. He is not a candidate for President. The problems of  Hunter Biden are  not an issue to be  a concern post election. Focus on the people who present a threat to the  stability and security of the USA.

All you did was reinforce the point made in the OP. Way to go.

From the linked article...

The three counts referenced are the felony charges against Biden: one count of tax evasion and two counts of filing a false return. The other six charges he faces are misdemeanors.

I wonder how many people are charged with Felonies for tax evasion and filing a false return?

50:50.

Need to get the trial finished first, then maybe sentencing.

If the President grants a pardon, I know I would for my son under similar circumstances, then it would come on 19/20 January 2025. He won't leave this to the next president, obviously.

Trump pardons dozens in final hours, including ex-aide Steve Bannon

A statement from the White House listed the 73 individuals who had received pardons and the 70 who had their sentences commuted.

Yes, I would also, and more like 100%.   With his health, I'd do it right after the election results and not wait till next year.

Don't know what Trump has to do with the topic, as all presidents have gone pardon crazy at the end of their term.  More than a few embarrassing ones, from both sides of the aisle. :coffee1:   Especially Clinton & Obama ... but for another thread 😎

At 11:55 PM on January 19th.

If you're looking for a guy with drugs and a gun any US cop can point you to one.

Sentencing is due on November 11th. This is one set of charges that he pled guilty to in his plea deal which was rejected for being too broad and generous.

That decision was disastrous for Joe as the notion of this trial taking place at all, never mind in election season, was fraught with danger.

Our resident hysteric will verify that I said months ago the whole reason why Biden was fed to the wolves in that horrendous history making debate was due to this trial.

31 witnesses including witnesses who will testify that Joe Biden was involved in the corrupt schemes.

Want to hear the worst part? Hunter pled guilty.

Still think it's funny?

Oh, please stop picking on poor old Joe, or should i say '10% for the big guy' was that a serious post or stealth level sarcasm?

Were those 51 ex intelligence officials, twitter, Facebook and the rest of the MSM hiding the hunter laptop story purely because Biden was a good parent, and its if nobodies concern to hear it right before an election

The thing that separates critically thinking Trump haters from the truly obsessively deranged is their ability to acknowledge that Biden is a crooked machine politico.

You can hate Trump all you want but the Big Guy has always been a lying, crooked, venal scumbag. Folks who acknowledge that are at least somewhat intellectually honest. You can argue Trump is worse then all you want.

Biden family business associates Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis testified under oath President Joe Biden actively participated in his family’s corrupt business dealings and acted as the closer for deals with Chinese and Russian entities.

Hunter has already pled guilty to these charges. Now we will have the pleasure of witnesses testifying in court that they PHYSICALLY MET with Joe Biden in connection with these corrupt schemes.

The problem for Joe is that there are more witnesses prepared to testify that he was involved in this corruption including Devon Archer who was jailed for participating.

If Trump made a mistake in this election season it was agreeing to debate in July. He should have let this run its course.

Everyone prosecuted for tax evasion is charged with a felony.

I wonder how many people charged with a misdemeanor bookkeeping charge are convicted of a felony after the statute has run out?

One

The idea that Trump is a tax evader is ridiculous.

Any IRS agent that was able to show Trump was evading taxes would be set for life.

So Trump's DOJ would have covered up Hunter!

Ahem! That's interesting.

You mean the Devon Archer who testified that Biden never talked business during the cited phone calls, that he had no knowledge that Hunter Biden ever influenced his father to change any policies to further his son’s businesses, and also that Burisma had the corrupt ousted prosecutor under control?

That Devon Archer? 🤣

Former Biden family business associate recycles unproven allegations to House panels

February 13, 2024

A former Biden family business associate levied critical but unproven allegations against President Joe Biden in a closed-door House interview Tuesday, resurrecting claims he has lobbed since 2020.

Over the past several years, Tony Bobulinski has seemingly shared his story with anyone who would listen, including the Trump campaign. But his loftiest claims — that Joe Biden was deeply involved in his son’s overseas business deals — are still uncorroborated and have been undercut by other key witnesses. [emphasis added]

...

Bobulinski’s claims also stand in stark contrast to a growing list of other Biden family business associates who have stated that Joe Biden, as a private citizen and as vice president, was never involved in his any of his family’s foreign business dealings. Raskin had raised serious questions about Bobulinski’s credibility ahead of Tuesday’s interview.

GOP's Biden corruption crusade goes up in smoke

Sept. 5, 2024

...

The July ticket switch didn't stop House Republicans from releasing a report last month — on the first day of the Democratic National Convention — accusing the president of a conspiracy to "enrich his family" through influence peddling.

  • The report doesn't offer direct proof that Joe Biden engaged in any corrupt quid pro quo on behalf of his family, but suggests he abused his power even if his family members only sold the "illusion" of influence. [emphasis added]

...

The bottom line: It's not just that the GOP's "Biden crime family" attack has lost its salience. Trump himself could be sentenced to prison on Sept. 18 for his New York hush money conviction, which he continues to fight.

From Axios' report today:

"President Biden has ruled out pardoning his 54-year-old son."

President says he won’t pardon Hunter Biden

He also seemed to indicate he would not commute Hunter Biden’s sentence.

06/13/2024

...

Trump was convicted last month in his criminal hush money trial in New York and will be sentenced next month. Biden’s words of respect for the legal system stand in stark contrast to Trump’s relentless criticism of it.
