Trump Media shares are now 70% off the $66 high they hit in March.  Still very much in meme-stock territory (market cap is $3.4 billion for a social media platform with next-to-no revenue that loses tens of millions per month). Another venture to add to his other failed ones perhaps........but he still managed to sucker his MAGA rubes into this "investment". LOL

Trump Media erases all 2024 stock gains days before Donald Trump can cash out his $1.95B stake

Donald Trump has lost $4 billion in wealth amid bumpy ride for Trump Media & Technology Group

September 5, 2024

Former President Donald Trump's personal stake in Trump Media & Technology Group topped more than $6 billion in March when its shares soared after making their public market debut. Nearly six months later, that fortune has dwindled to less than $2 billion amid losses and shrinking revenue.

A months-long slump has lopped more than 70% from the stock's valuation since its late March peak, with the shares hitting a new low on Wednesday. As the biggest shareholder in Trump Media & Technology, Trump has suffered the largest losses, although the decline is only on paper for now since he's not yet able to sell any of his shares.

Trump owns about 60% of Trump Media & Technology Group, a money-losing social media company that trades under the ticker DJT (the former president's initials). The company has gained a following among Trump's supporters, typically retail investors who have flocked to groups on Truth Social to express concern about the declining share price and blame short sellers for the stock's swoon.

Rats and sinking ship come to mind:

Top Truth Social execs—including the CEO—are shedding stock before Trump even can

Sep 4, 2024

...

While Trump isn’t able to start selling his shares yet, some other insiders have started shedding their stake in the company. Trump Media’s chief financial officer and treasurer, Phillip Juhan, disclosed last week he’s selling $1.9 million worth of stock, according to SEC filings. Trump Media’s general counsel, Scott Glabe, chief operating officer Andrew Northwall, and chief technology officer Vladimir Novachki each sold shares as well, according to Aug. 22 SEC filings. Devin Nunes, a former Republican congressman and Trump Media’s president and CEO, also sold off $632,000 worth of stock last Thursday.

But, if Trump somehow manages to become U.S. dictator for life (who needs "stolen" elections, after all), perhaps there will be a resurgence here... Let's hope NOT!

It is almost double the all time low. The selling if anything is minor.

They aren't worth more than $1 in my opinion. Id sell at $17 for sure.

It’s not worth you worrying about it since you are financially unable to invest anyway.

Surely it is the selling that drives the price down...so how can it be minor.

Price went down a little on Friday compared to other stocks. Why isn't it crashing to 10c?

Not for you to worry about. Try having a lie down to reduce the stress of it.

The market knows what's up and the price has been tanking ever since Harris replaced Biden as the Democratic presidential candidate. The steep decline in price indicates that the market believes Trump is now fully destined to lose the election, yet again.

More bad news for the convicted felon......and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving case!!! I should feel sorry for the rubes who bought into this, but I don't!!!

Trump Media stock plunge has cost Donald Trump $6.4 billion in potential wealth

Former US president Donald Trump’s shares in the parent company of his social media platform Truth Social have plunged in value in the weeks before he can sell them, a losing streak that has at least temporarily erased billions of dollars from his paper net worth.

Trump Media’s stock has plummeted almost 70% to about US$17 ($27.53) - an all-time low since the merger was approved. At that price, Trump’s roughly 60% stake in the company would be valued around US$2 billion ($3.2b), over US$4 billion less than when the company publicly debuted.

Skeptical voters wrestle with what they know about Harris versus what they've seen from Trump

“It’s better a fool known than the fool unknown. Sorry, I’ve already been through Trump, I think I can handle him another four years. He’s not going to kill the whole nation in four years, he doesn’t have that power, and I just don’t know Harris well enough,” said Maddie C., a 52-year-old from Macon, Georgia, who also backed Trump in 2020.

One is a malignant pathological narcissisit and convicted felon, lifelong fraud, dodgy businessman, racist, and  chiseler. With a fake university, fake vitamin scam.. A teetotaler who launches a Vodka brand, bankrupts casinos, tax cheat, liar, sexual assaulter, children by multiple women he cheated on, paid off a porn star, meets with  Putin and steals the trascript, Grovels before by Kim Jong Un completely hoodwinked. Loses election, pushes the Big Lie and inspires an insurrection, and still will not admit he lost. And some  people are still undecided?  Maybe they are not stupid.  They just have not been paying attention or have been so brainwashed and demoralized they are hopeless.

Well, when you put it THAT way, you make him look like a loser! :clap2:

A few weeks away. I doubt he invested much in this so $2bn or nearby is a massive win.

Price to book value is 10x so the assets are only worth $1.70 per share. Seems his stake is doing ok. I'd love to own $2bn in shares.

With 10% of the stock shorted there will a lot of pressure to drive this price down as close to zero as possible.
