Toppings for toast?

Recommended Posts

You could do a Kai Krata Western style, fry Chinese Sausage, fry Chorizo or  Fleischwurst, add fried egg, spring onion and tomato, bang it all on toast.

Or just get liver sausage, but you have to wait for the toast to cool obviously. Add tomato, cucumber or salad.

Thai honey? With Butter.

Nutella, nocilla or Singaporean sugar spread. Can add bananas to that.

Then, there's the ultimate toast, a club sandwich. Chicken breast, backon lettuce, tomato..

Butter and then Nam Prik Dar Dang.

Try it before you slag me off

Definitely wouldn't slag you off as I do lashing of Anchor (has to be Anchor) butter & sprinkle on a bit of OXO from a cube...

1 Cube normally gets me 3 toasties (With extra mature cheddar of course)...

Have you tried the oxo with anything else?

We still have a long way to go before we get to yours.

On topic, basil pesto.

Can't believe nobody has yet mentioned butter, sugar, and cinnamon.

Doesn't really answer the question I guess.

A little crumbled on a steak before you grill/fry is very tasty. Seasons the meat and gives it a certain umami flavour.

never thought of OXO cubes before.  Thanks.

I wonder if grilled toms and Oxo would hit the right spot

A dash of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce on grilled toms on toast is tasty. I believe there is a Thai version of Worcestershire sauce that I am told is very similar but I don't know the name.

If you have a grill. Toast one side of your bread. On the untoasted side smash a banana, put on bacon & top with cheese. Put under the grill. Also ok with pineapple instead of the banana.

Confused ! What don't you understand ?

I love them so will put it on/in almost anything where I want a salty/savoury flavour.

Not cheap in Thailand though (Works out at about 30THB per cube) so I bring 24x12 boxes back from my annual UK trip.
