Cleaning lady

Recommended Posts

Looking for recommendations for a cleaning lady, which knows how to clean.

Location is NongPlalai near the regents school. Frequency 1 full day every week or every 2 weeks. Pay decent rate for the right person. Only cleaning, no cooking or laundry required.

Any recommendations, please post here or send PM

The OP lives out of Pattaya central near the Regents school so I,m guessing the lady will need transport to get there.....my guess 700/800 baht if she is very good 👍

As I made clear in the OP, will pay a decent rate for the right person, that is the price range I was thinking about myself.

Didn't get any recommendations yet 🙂

500 is more like it.

Wow. Has inflation gone up that much in the past couple of years since 2022? I used to get mine done for 300 baht each time in Central Pattaya for a small 1 bedroom in a condo. A condo that unfortunately is full of many AirBnB type of renters, but all condos are the same in Pattaya.

Considering that being a cleaner is not a high level job and most people in similar unskilled jobs gets paid slightly over the minimum wage of 330 baht per day, paying a cleaner 600-800 baht for an hour or two of cleaning is insane. I wonder how much do cleaners at all these millions of hotels (I mean actual hotels, not condos) in Pattaya get paid per day? Doubt they'd be making anywhere near 600-800 baht per hour or two.

You're welcome to try B300. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. Yep, inflation has been worldwide.

What's the retirement plan, insurance, and holiday pay you're including with your B300?

Maid2Clean charges 500 baht to clean a one-bedroom apartment at The Base.

Is that an agency that takes a big cut of the pie and only pays their maid employees maybe 60% after taking their cut of the fees charged?

The Base has a huge amount of cleaners working there every day, as they have to prepare it for the next illegal short-term AirBNB renters coming to stay for a few days, which would include a full deep clean and change of bedsheets, towels, toilet paper, etc. 500 baht would make sense for something like that if all that was included, and that's probably the price the AirBNB'ers gets charged as a cleaning fee after they've trashed the place.

There are quite a few people live out in this area too, Nong Khet Noi market is a madhouse most evenings. My neighbour in this area had 2 maids who came on motorcycles, but only a Km or two.

A fully employed cleaner at a condo would not earn 600/800 baht per hour. However if you employ a cleaner to do a one off cleaning job the price is negotiated before hand.

If you are not generous with your cleaner then you will lose her to someone who is. My advice is always pay more than everyone else.

I have a live-in housekeeper, she is much more than a maid or cleaner.  She is hotel trained and that makes a big difference to the attention to detail.

I have a fantastic maid, actually a ladyboy, who is amazing, every nook and corner, inside fridge, even opens up the fans and makes them look brand new, asks 500 for my one-bedroom, I give her 600.

I'm really sorry I can not give you his/her contact here, as lately she has become so busy, it's difficult to get her/him immediately.
