A 24-year-old delivery driver, identified as Mr. Satayu Waewmanee, lost control of his Chevrolet pickup truck at approximately 08.00 on October 2 and crashed into a roadside food store, in Klaeng District, Rayong,

Pol. Lt. Chaithawat Rodma, duty officer at Klaeng Police Station, Rayong, was notified of the incident, in which a pickup truck crashed into a food store. The accident occurred at Ban Nong Wa, Khao Din-Khao Chamao Road, Tung Kwai Kin Subdistrict, Klaeng District, Rayong Province. He coordinated with the doctor on duty at Klaeng Hospital, the Phutthasat Songkhro Rescue Unit, and officers to travel to inspect the scene immediately.

When arriving at the scene, which was on the side of the road, he found many locals standing in front of the store. Upon inspection, they found a white Chevrolet pickup truck, license plate number from Rayong, which has crashed into the store. Trees in front of the store were broken off and toppled, the shop’s roof had collapsed, and the front of the car was severely damaged. The driver was found stuck behind the steering wheel.

Responders removed the body and tried to resuscitate him with CPR, but it was too late. The body had both legs broken, with wounds on both knees and chest injuries from the impact. The body was sent for an autopsy at Klaeng Hospital

Witnesses reported the truck swerving before the collision, causing panic among the customers, many of whom fled for safety. Mr. Waewmanee was pronounced dead at the scene and an elderly patron suffered minor injuries during the incident, receiving first aid at the scene.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.

Picture and video from responders.

A video of this crash was on a Thai FB page yesterday. The driver was revving the modded truck, spewing out plumes of black smoke before accelerating away at high speed, and losing control... Thankfully only killing himself. Sort of tragic, but mitigated by the fact that morons are not an endangered species.

Thank you for your post, think this is the video you mention.
