Trump secretly sent coronavirus tests to Putin during 2020 shortage

Do you think the pee pee tape could be real?

As the coronavirus tore through the world in 2020, and the United States and other countries confronted a shortage of tests designed to detect the illness, then-President Donald Trump secretly sent coveted tests to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his personal use.

“Trump was the most reckless and impulsive president in American history and is demonstrating the very same character as a presidential candidate in 2024.” -- Bob Woodward

Way to spread misinformation and fake news.

What a great idea to send tests to another important world leader. That will come in handy when Trump negotiates to end the Ukraine war.

I despise Trump but I don't have a problem with that.

Falls well within the authority of a president and within the scope of official acts.

considering both country's level of microbiological science is not much different (except US secret labs and genome's fiddling) why would Putin would need that dumb tests?

sure, Melania (or better Barron) met the Ambassador and passed sealed box of so-called tests that can be made within a week at any microbiological lab. ROFL

The bigger issue is Trump meeting with Putin up to seven times after Trump left office. Putin is an adversary and has invaded Ukraine. Remember when Trump said John Kerry "should be prosecuted" for violating the Logan Act because of his conversations with Iran? Well if Kerry should be prosecuted so should Trump. But what is more worrisome is what Trump and Putin might have talked about in personal conversations that were not released when Trump was president. Trump went to extraordinary lengths to hide the details.

"When he takes the interpreter's notes and wants to destroy them so no one can see what was said in written transcript, you know it raises serious questions about the relationship between this president and Putin."
