A vote for Trump is a vote for Putin / Orban / Kim Jong Un

Start a topic then. But here is a hint for you: Wikpedia is not a source in an intellectual discussion. This isnt high school, unless you are still there?

No, a discussion of this sort does not warrant a forum. I could see a forum arguing the benefits and dangers of right-wing and left-wing ideologies but not a debate on whether fascism or socialism is right or left. I'm settled on that.

Why do you think Wikipedia is not a source to include in an intellectual discussion? What other sources would you recommend? I have to say that I am not one who continually cites sources when I express my opinion, but on a simple definition of a term, the online Oxford Dictionary or Wikipedia are my go-to sources.

Trump will at least TRY to stay in power by changing the rules. The way he changes the rules would be, of course, illegal, but he might do something like declare that the election process in the USA was corrupt and declare a national emergency, which would give him, as president, emergency powers, one of which, he could claim, was to postpone the elections. The only glimmer of hope we would have then is that Trump would be in his mid-80s by then, overweight, etc., so he should not have a long time left.

I agree with your list of corrupt institutions, but I strongly believe everything would just be worse if Trump were reelected. He would just work to increase the corruption for his own interests.

So why did he not just stay in power last time?

You still believe the Russian collusion hoax, yes?

You must have an advanced degree.

It is so clear that harris is unfit for the job that if she wins america wont accept that. They will take to the streets, and they should

I have already voted by absentee ballots (faxed it in). I will not say I voted FOR Harris, but I will say I voted AGAINST Trump. So, yes, I checked the box next to Harris' name.

I have said for months now that neither party will accept the results of this election, and yes, I think in either case, there will be "blood in the streets." And I'll be watching it all happen on CNN from my easy chair in my house nestled in the jungle-filled mountains of northeastern Thailand.

He didn't stay in power last time because he finally gave in. I don't think he would give in again. In fact, I don't think he'll accept a defeat in the upcoming election if that's the way it turns out.

Yes, I do believe he colluded with Russia.

Yes, I have two regular degrees (BA in English and BS in Computer Science) and an advanced degree (MBA).

This is a joke topic, right? No one could be that ignorant to put Victor Orban in with Kim?  I think I see hysteria.  over on the socialist side

For a start I am not a socialist, nor would I describe the majority opposing trump Socialist - that's weird American behaviour describing anyone against trump extreme right wing ideology which in effect confirms they are extremist, including the use of the term 'Marxist".

Orban is transforming Hungary into an autocratic state. trump has referred to Orban as someone who he admires and vice versa. There is no way Orban should be established as some whom a potential US president  supports, including the fact Orban supports Putin.

Since 2010, he has transformed Hungary into what the European Parliament has denounced as a "hybrid regime of electoral autocracy"

Among all of Russia’s useful idiots, few have sought to make themselves more useful than the Hungarian prime minister.

Could Joe Biden stay in office if he wanted to?

Hillary still says the election was stolen from her.

Trump could have done more to stay in office than he did. I'm glad he finally relented and left "voluntarily."

I'm not a federal law scholar, but I do think that Biden or any president could declare a national emergency and at least postpone an upcoming election. A president's emergency powers are very broad.

I did think the declaring of the large number of votes in Flordia (I forget why that was) was politically motivated and not absolutely valid. And, I think the ruling on the subject by SCOTUS was also politically motivated and did not actually address the matter presented to them. But, all that was done according to the existing laws, so I wouldn't agree that it was "stolen," but I do think the Flordia results were very suspicious.

I have a degree and every day i wish i spent those four years working and buying bitcoin instead

We all wish we had done things differently. If I had known what I now know, I would have gone into hock to buy every bit of property - houses, land - I could lay my hands on.

In 1970, I bought a house in Melbourne for $14,000. The asking price for 3 bedroom houses in that area now is  $900,000. Mine was four bedrooms, plus a bungalow.

House and land are real, bitcoin is ephemeral electrons.

One can get income from renting out a house. I have never heard of anyone renting bitcoin.

I hope you are young enough to witness bitcoin becoming the preferred investment over real estate. No maintenance no hassle. Basically like buying puts on inflation that never expire

Bitcoin is one of the worst examples of capitalism I know of. It's an attempt to gain a profit without providing anything in return.

Well assuming you do have some advanced degrees, it looks like with your views on the Russia Hoax, you have wandered into Lizard People and Qanon territory.

Since you support Kamala, do you beleive the Protocols of the Elders of Zion too? Her allies do.

I am old enough to know property is a well-established institution, whereas crypto is the Wild West in comparison.

You think governments won't be putting a bridle on it? It is every criminal's wet dream.

The Nazi Party was referred to as "National Socialists," but that was just a name. They were not socialists. Read the definitions from Wikipedia I provided above. It's like saying China is communist. It is not. It just claims to be.

The very fact that you would consider Wikpedia as a reference for political issues shows why you are chickening out of the debate. Use the search function, Ive given out reading lists, but you are allowed to continue to be ignorant.

I had to look up the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. I see now it is a book authored in the very early 1900s in Russia. It is said to be extremely anti-Jewish. I did not bother to read it or much about it, but I can assure you I probably do not support the contents and I don't believe Harris' allies do either.

Whilst Clinton has expressed frustration with the external factors that influenced the election outcome, she has never  claimed that the election was “stolen” in any legal or procedural sense.

Yes, I had to look it up.

And a book called the Torah is still being published in Israel, claiming that the land now in question was the "promised land" given to them by a delusion they call "God" (or Yahweh).

I haven't heard of any assassination attempts on Harris, but that doesn't mean there haven't been any. I hope there hasn't been any and won't be any in the future.

I am from the USA and am still a citizen. In fact, I have already successfully voted in the November elections.
