Really?  The last poll I saw from NIDA had the People's Party as the most popular party.... though I seem to remember them gathering up steam during the election last time to come out in first position with the percentage of popular vote (it was not the expected result)... In fact so much support that the Pheu Thai and Conservative Parties felt the need to get into bed together... now everyone is being stabbed in the back and there is blood in the matrimonial bed... could end up making the next election even worse...   If this is the result, does anyone think that whatever party wins will feel safe getting into a bed with a psycho that is waiting for you to feel comfortable and then cutting off your 'pride' and knifing you to death....

The military there, wear red necked T shirts and are under the control of the highest person in Thailand. They are called, (for want of a better term, The King's Guards). and whilst they are part of the army, Their loyalty is not to the military, but to somebody else.

This political tremor stems from a legal complaint led by activist lawyer Thirayut Suwankesorn, directed at Thaksin and Pheu Thai. The charges involve allegations of Thaksin’s undue influence over the party, primarily orchestrated through his daughter, Prime Minister Paetongtarn.

 

The lawsuit contends that Thaksin managed a secretive convergence of coalition leaders at his residence, shortly after the Constitutional Court's dismissal of Thailand's former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

 

Such a move from Paetongtarn could complicate an already bewildering political landscape, with new parties potentially entering the fray under unfamiliar banners, potentially confusing the electorate.

 

The urgency now lies with the Office of the Attorney-General, bound by the court's order to process this lawsuit within the designated 15-day timeframe, adding a ticking clock to the unfolding political drama, reported Thai Newsroom.

4th, because if this case goes through and she is found guilty, every party that was at the dinner could also be hit, and BJT et al. do not want that.

 

Even if the People's party win they still have a problem in that the senate is BJT loyal

 

The bad news is that the Thai stock market was finally starting to improve and now will dive.
