Is Centric Sea a decent condo to rent for up to a year? How does it compare to The Base? Does the area flood during the rainy season?

So, you want to be close to Soi 6? 😀

 

I just checked Centric does short term rentals, so that element will be present.

Also, for future traffic and noise; I believe Marriott plans a gigantic complex across the street.

As far as flooding, anyplace in Pattaya can flood if it rains enough.

Other then that, I have seen the rooms their it seemed ok.

Wanting something in Central Pattaya and a street or so from the beach is ideal.

 

Do you know when the Mariott construction is to begin and are there currently any other construction happening next to or very close to Centric Sea? I have been out of in Thailand for a number of months so I'm  sure what's happening near Centric Sea.

 

Does Centric Sea have a real estate agent attached to the building? I remember seeing one on a YouTube video.

I didn't think that the Marriott would be back in Pattaya after leaving many years ago.

The Grand Sole in between Centric Sea and 2nd Road is currently being totally redeveloped but it seems to have been going on for years so I would think it's almost done by now.

I don't think it's Marriott but IHG with a massive complex stretching from 2nd Road right through to Beach Road.  It's been very quiet recently so don't know if it's still in their plans, but the refurbishment of the Grand Sole was the first stage of it.

It seems like they are taking forever with Gand Sole refurbishment. 

 

The building itself is OK, I think.  But the location seems like it's a little bit isolated. Maybe when they finish the construction in the area there will be more in the way of stores and restaurants.

They have a new Courtyard in Naklua.

 

And, unless a Marriott executive was wrong, they will be building a massive complex across from Centric similar to Hua Hin which may also include a condominium.  If you go past it on the Beach Road side, they just removed  the market that was there and are putting up a high metal fence.  I assume construction may start soon, so wait and see.  Either way, something is going in there so the noise and traffic could be annoying at Centric.

But do you want to be in a Airbnb Building filled with short time guests? There are many complains out on social media about a lot of noise from this kind of guests, mostly Chinese with no manner. 

 

OP wants to stay up to a year, he will go crazy from the short time guests around him.
