Can I buy a one-way ticket?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Can I buy a one-way ticket to Thailand if I am approved for a non o e Visa?

Yes.

If you have a visa to enter Thailand the airline at departure will not ask to see return/onward flight.

That discussion is for those flying visa exempt.

What type of eVisa are you applying for?

Currently visa exempt entry provides 60 day stamp.

SETV is not good alternative

OP pretty clearly states non O e-visa (whereby a one-way flight is fine)

OP, the airline might ask to see an onward ticket at check in and if they do show them your e-visa paper and it should be a non-issue

OP, with a non O visa you do not need to have an onward flight.

Op, nobody knows Thai visa rules. Not even AN experts... and they are changing.

Airline personal, except maybe Thai, sure don't know them and there is more and more outside companies checking travelers in. They don't find Thailand on the map...

Get a real onward ticket for peace of mind.

Poor advice.

OP, make sure that you have hard copy print out of your eVisa.

The airline at departure will check the details against your passport.

With a Visa or folk with reentry permit an onward flight is NOT required.

You should resist giving advice in the visa forum given this load of rubbish. Why would someone on a non-imm O e-visa ever need an onward ticket as they may never leave Thailand again. As said previously, a one-way ticket for OP is fine.
