Sub forum - restaurant reviews - Chiang Mai: Food for Thought

Featured Replies

Preamble:

"Restaurants" are a hot topic on any forum for expats -- anywhere in the world -- including this forum.

I suggested to root admin to add a sub-forum for restaurant reviews.

Hopefully it would self-organize with a separate thread for each restaurant.

Root admin advised to start topics that could morph into a sub-forum.

So here goes:

And I suggest to others adding restaurant reviews to follow this title format:

Sub forum - restaurant reviews - Chiang Mai: [restaurant name]

[ Pssst: @suzannegoh.. this is your cue. ]

On a separate thread, there is mention of the restaurant, Food for Thought.

If worth its own review, I hope customers will post on this thread, including photos and map to location.

Hey Nova

I drove around the Santitam circle area looking for Food for Thought and couldn’t find it.  Please provide some more detailed directions.   Thanks.

The restaurant is actually called Food 4 Thought, with the numeral in place of the word "for". There are two locations, the original, which is near the Phucome junction, and the new one which is on Bumrungrat Rd. Neither is in the Santhitham Circle area. The original is shown correctly on Google Maps. The new location does not appear to be on Google Maps, so might have closed.

I have never eaten at the new location. I have eaten many times over the years (including recently) at the original. I recommend it. Quite a large menu with well prepared and generously sized soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps etc. Excellent breakfast dishes. They have vegan food if desired. Prices are very reasonable. The menu is available on the internet if you look at it on Google.

OZARK by Food4Thought is situated amidst bushland in the foothills below Doi Kham - access by continuing beyond the turn-off to Wat Doi Kham.

Unlike the other Food4Thought venues, OZARK is predominantly Cajun/Creole cuisine with almost everything grown or baked on the premises.  Good food.   Thai food is also available on site.
