Oil recommendations for Honda Accord 2003 V6 3.0L (Gen 7)

Featured Replies

Think I will have a go at changing my oil and filter on my Honda Accord 2003 V6 3.0L Automatic.

She has 110k on the clock (real) - the handbook is 21 years old now so looking for a bit more up to date info on what to use than it can provide.

Thanks in advance.

You can do a search on https://www.b-quik.com/

Put your car in and the year, and the recommended oils come up.

I just changed oil in our suzuki last week and put in the shell helix ultra.

B-quik I think is a bit pricey. You can shop around and maybe get it cheaper.

The accord v6 sounds great with a sports exhaust btw..

I change the oil and the oil filter annually in my car, even if I just used it for 100 ml.

In tropical climates high level viscosity is something you may wish to look into before just looking at the brand,

In Thailand 10w30 viscosity seems appropriate considering the heat maybe ?

But if you car has lasted you that long, why change anything ? Stick to what you were using all this time, and that seems to have worked well, assuming you were maintaining it regularly.
