Eeeeeeer, no loss to me, I am not American, but it seems the points I have put forward over the weeks has struck a nerve with a few of you.

Thrashing, don't think so, not when Trumpettes say Trump doesn't lie, which the World knows is a fact that he did tell lies.

Now perhaps it is you that should forget about being cornered at times and move on, eh.......:clap2:

You've made bullet points but you haven't scored any point you're just another distant observer of the American political process. Your opinion is unnecessary and has been proven time and time again wrong by the forum and now by 70 million American voters.

The latter is proof enough to show you how off base your opinions are.

I agree that the country needed change and it is quite obvious that the Democratic party is broken. The big question is Trump the change that we needed?

Trump was emphatically not the change the country needed, but he is a galring indicator of how badly the Dems have <deleted> up.

I reckon if the democrats put aside their far-left agenda and brought things back towards the middle, this would not have happened.

I read Black Like Me years ago in my mid or late 20's.

Yes, racism exists, among all ethnicities, not just among those that are identified as Caucasian.   Those that claim a particular ethnicity cannot be racist, are lying!

I have lived among racists.   Some were hard core racists, like the klan members in Louisiana, in my childhood.  Some were more subtle in their words, but still recognizable as racists.   As a child I learned what a racist is, by their words and deeds.

There are those in the democrat party and their supporters,  that will call people who are descended from those that were brought to America from the African continent, uncle tom's, house n....., etc, when those blacks identify with being conservative.

There are the blacks themselves that use that obscenity, n....., against those of any ethnicity.  They do it with malicious intent!

Offspring of black and Caucasian unions were in Louisiana when I was a child in the 1950's and 1960's.  Some with black fathers and some with black mothers.  It's not something that I have become aware of only recently.  Why would I find it interesting?

I have seen people that claim to be black and their skin has less melanin than my grandkids!!

My mockery, as you call it, is based in truth.   Except for the Mini Mouse and Daisy Duck.   I through that in as a joke.   I have told it several times today.   I didn't write them in as pres. and v.p. when I voted.

I was unaware you had extensive experience in the cultural and historical milieu.

It works in reverse in Australia, there are significant financial advantages for those claiming Aboriginal ancestry.

Thank you for responding courteously, which is more than I can say for some posters on this thread.

As I understand it, only the federal charges are actually being dropped, but it is not yet final.

The NY $500M overstating the value of his property is in the process of being overturned on appeal, and will be.

Fanni Willis will get removed from the GA case, and it likely gets dropped.

E. Jean Carroll sex will likely stand, but defamation gets overturned.

Trump will get sentenced this month for the bookkeeping, and that’s a crapshoot.

Thanks for the blow by blow.

I've read several articles this morning stating that merchan must toss the case if he knows what's good for him. As the case is actually over it's going to do a bit of undoing to be sure. But the legal opinion was if he knew it was good for him he would do that undoing

Shall we call it being unburdened by what has been?

You are mostly correct, but the country would have just moved further left under Harris, and it might not under Trump.

Do not confuse liberals with leftists.

Those charges are quickly being looked at and very well might be dropped by the end of the week. Merchan is in a very serious situation if he sentences Trump he very well might be looking at being disbarred. I think he's probably looking to declare a mistrial based on this that or the other thing.

Really don't read much news do you?

In other words, the fix is in because Trump won. Had he lost, different story.

Trump was convicted by a jury of his peers. There is nothing in the trial which says Merchan conducted himself inappropriately, except in the fevered imagination of Trump supporters.

You may be right, Merchan may be disbarred. However, that will only be because Trump will exercise presidential power to be vindictive.

The usual cheap shot at the end of your post, when will you guys grow up?

He has nothing to lose sentencing Trump to five years. Trump goes to jail waiving, and in a week it’s overturned by the NY appellate court. He’ll be a hero to the left and daughter got rich off the phony case.

Trump is not going after anyone. He didn’t last time, and he won’t this time.

He might go after some of the J6 perjurers.

They have already said.. The cases against him will be dropped because they do not want such scandals as taking the President of the US to court for these things.

You are welcome.   You can check my posts on my profile page (or whatever it's called).   I would not say that I am always courteous, but when someone calls me names or bullies me, I won't back down from the attack.   I think at most I might make a sarcastic that may border on being snide.   But no outright denigrating to or about people.

I don't know that my experience is in cultural or historical milieu is extensive, but it is more than what some have had.   My dad was in the U.S. Army so there was the benefit of travel and exposure to different cultures and countries.   I have also had employment that has required that I associate with people such as (what I call) the little old man or woman down the street, up to having to work with Secret Service personnel protecting presidents.

Here in the U.S. of A. there has been, for several years, some advantages to being a minority.  I could take advantage of that by making a claim based on Cherokee Indian (oh wait, I mean Native American) ancestry, but I guess I am too lazy.   Besides, I seem to have been able to get by on my own.

There is no “fix is in”. Trump has no power until January. If they could convict him of insurrection, he would be barred from taking office. They can’t. Had he lost the election, all of the federal charges would have run their course and dissolved. Had Harris won, she likely would have called them off. No upside, much downside.

There is plenty of Merchan acting in appropriately.

Trump has no power to disbar a NY judge. You are delusional.

I just googled “hypocrite, definition”, and this popped up:

All of those cases and settlements are going to be massively changed on appeal.  But that won't happen (obviously) until after the election.  The goal was to hurt Trump's election chances.  They failed.   Enough of the voters saw through the lawfare.

I try to be courteous on ASEAN.

Some posters make the effort as difficult as they can.

Try looking up the translation of the Latin phrase " Nemo me impune lacessit".

It's also the national motto of Scotland, I have ancestors there.

But, we can save that for the next Israel thread and suggestions of giving land back 🙂

I give it 1-2 years before the swing voters realize they have been conned yet again by someone who is throwing them under the bus, now they have served their purpose. Tax cuts and tariff wars guarantee it.

The lawfare delusion is well entrenched in Trump supporters, no point in arguing with people who have that as an article of faith.

Bye now.

The Scots were known for taking Aborigine brides, yes? That explains a lot.
