Again, of course I accept he will be president.

Unlike the insurrectionist maga fascists who bought into Trump's BIG LIE that he had won the last election and he still hasn't backed off from that!

But accepting that the vile magadonian movement won and indeed WON VERY BIGLY putting a sociopath into much more power now than he had before, does not (reflecting the video I posted before) mean any obligation whatsoever to AFFIRM the goodness of that choice. It was a horrible choice.

Countries make mistakes and they eventually pay for them.

If calling Trump a fascist is good enough for General Kelly, it's good enough for me. So it follows that the personality cult political movement centered around basically worship of Trump, MAGA, can fairly be called maga fascists.

But I acknowledge it might be better to switch to authoritarian or autocratic for the sake of not over triggering the Magadonians. I'll consider it. They could still argue that the maga movement is not autocratic, but that would be a very stupid position to try to defend.

I see about half the people in the poll here (the actual topic) think Trump will make it through the term.

He might of course.

I think his health is obviously poor but he is already delegating almost all the work save the Dictator King pomp and circumstance fun part to his crew of sycophants and corrupt anti democracy oligarchs. Also of course Vance (of Trump could be America's HItler fame) will be a workhorse for the cause. It's documented that he doesn't actually like the work of the presidency and that will become much more pronounced this time.

Not sure. The only thing certain is the lefts unhealthy obsession with him will live strong long after he is gone.

He picked a capable VP who will be able to advance his agenda so we can all rest easy.

Just imagine the consequences if somebody his age had such a decline in their brain and they had picked a useless, incompetent, piece of dung as the second in charge. I can only imagine it but that would spell disaster. Although it would be tempting to go that route thinking it was some brilliant sort of warped insurance policy

We lived it the last 4 years.

JT - I do this every day, perhaps you should try it.  For every hour you spend watching/your favoured left wing media sources, spend an equivalent hour watching/reading media sources with opposing views or a different interpretation.

By sourcing information from both sides, some sort of balance is achieved in one's mind. You are better able to understand opposing opinions.

I thoroughly understand your hatred of Trump. The MSM portrayal of him as a rabid Hitlerite has convinced many people for many years that he is in fact Hitler re-incarnate.

Watch at least a few hours of Shapiro, Rubin, Peterson, Carlson, Crowder, Kirk, the Hodge Bros, Brandon Tatum, Anthony Logan, to name a few.

Eventually, even though you will probably not change your political perspective, you may come to realise that what you call "Maga Fascists" actually have opinions equally as valid as those on the left..

You may not realise this - Trump supporters actually think Trump is a bit of an idiot and buffoon, constantly puts his foot in his mouth, is a genuine comedian, but also wants the world to be a genuinely better place, and a bit like everyone's obnoxious uncle - is not afraid to say what he thinks and call a spade a spade.

Anyway, try what I've suggested and suffer through some opposing views on youtube.  Maybe start with Jordan Peterson - he will calm your soul.

I can't take seriously any suggestion to listen to Tucker Carlson!

I did watch his "interview" with Putin and his cameos in Moscow. What a total moron!

I am well acquainted with how Trumpists think. You act like you're telling something new to me. Do you imagine I would be persuaded by their idiocy?

Also you think I only look at left wing sources.

So you haven't noticed that my primary influence on matters Trump is from conservative never Trumper types, now mostly ex republican.

The Trump thing isn't about left vs. right. He is NOT a conservative.

It's about pro democracy vs. pro autocracy. Americans idiotically for idiotic reasons just voted themselves to much more severely damage an already very weakened democracy. They won. I can never affirm them.

He's clearly unfit to be president of a condo board, much less the American presidency.

He's not even fit to moderate this forum !

And predictions are for gypsies.

Your response is so typically paradoxical, I'll retire from the conversation to go and watch Whoopi and Joy Baher on The View. Maybe I need a reality check.:coffee1:

You suggested Tucker, so enjoy!

Ok you can "never affirm them" that's in your head but do you really need to keep banging on about how bad Trump is, in your opinion. Election is over. Trump won comprehensively. Won the popular vote, won the Electoral College, controls the Senate and will control the House. Your views are that of someone that can't let go of something "bad" that has happened to them. Your emotional attachment has become both boring and disturbing.

If my posts are too boring and disturbing for you, may I kindly suggest that you put me on IGNORE.

Otherwise, stop the flames.

I'm not the topic.

Yep, Tucker at his best. But you need to understand comedy and irony to interpret this short clip.  I suspect you have a short attention span.

Watch this and come back in in one hour, eleven minutes, 59 seconds and give us your opinion.  In reality, your cognitive dissonance will have you vomiting at 59 seconds.  Good luck.

No you're not the topic. Trump is. Why I don't know. The election is done and dusted. Time to move on and see what the future holds.

Plain and simple, let's see what he'll do this time. Every president makes promises and lies, and some good things are done, and some bad. I know exactly what he is a a person, as does many of his voters. The main thing is will he help out the average Joe and live up to what he's said. We've had presidents that were cheaters and liars, yet they did do some things right. It's not all in his hands anyway. Complaining isn't supporting his title, and believe me, I've always thought he's out there and not fit, but again, we will see.

It is possible to not like someone, but elect him for his policies. It's also possible to like someone and not their policies. Harris is such an unknown that for all I know she might be a very nice person, but her policies ( when she bothered to say what they were ) were so bad, IMO, that she could have been Mary, mother of Jesus come to earth and I would never have voted for her.

Good thing as you're not a U.S. citizen.

Oh dear. This really is pitiful.

Deteriorating rapidly: Trump unlike Harris didn't take one day off during the campaign.

Many informed observers: The View and legacy media?

Clearly unfit to be president: Why? The man runs businesses and just had a successful run for the President of the United States.

Dodging prison: He'll never go to prison.

Many believe: The View and legacy media?

Eternal shame: The majority of American voters voted him in. No eternal shame for them only for the sobbing and spiteful losers like yourself.

Rationally feared: Good. I hope and I reckon the criminal gangs that have flooded into the country across the open borders, Putin, Xi, leaders of Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas and other Iranian proxies do fear him.

Trump is the 74th (also the 72nd) President of the United States. Accept it, grow up and move on.

I doubt there will ever be a 74th U.S. president but good for you looking so far ahead.

It's hilarious to me that anyone in their right mind actually thinks there's any chance at all that Trump will help the average Joe! He's about the billionaires.

Also even if he did help the average Joe, do you think trashing democracy for at least a generation is really worth that?

My top issue by far in the age of Trump is democracy vs autocracy.

Take a look at this. Anyway, it's nothing to with Trump. It's been this way forever.

https://www.quora.com/What-is-a-plutocracy-Is-America-really-a-plutocracy

I believe the United States of America is a Plutocratic Oligarchy masquerading as a Democracy where the wealthy and powerful control government, the economy, and everything else. The pretense of Democracy is only there to give people a false sense that they have some say in how things are run so the people won't band together and start using guillotines again.

I agree with the first part, but I don't agree with the 2nd part.

Start using guillotines and do what? Take over the country? And does anyone on AN really think they know how to run a country?

And when you're in charge, you don't think everyone will want your head on a silver platter?

No matter who is in charge, not everyone will be happy.

Most people in the US have decent lives if they work.

Stop watching the news which is twisting your mind and making you miserable.

I'm glad I don't need to run a country. I think I would have constant migraines and high blood pressure and I would have to constantly look over my shoulder for assassins.

Let somebody else do it. Please.

I'm accurately describing a political movement.

Since the tragic victory of maga which I accept happened democratically I'm hearing constant orders that dissent against maga must now shut up as if winning makes it right. That's outrageous.

There will be a resistance to maga fascism whether magadonians like it or not.
