Trump Begins Intelligence Briefings Ahead of Return to White House

Former President Donald Trump has resumed receiving intelligence briefings at his Mar-a-Lago estate as he prepares to return to the White House. Following his recent electoral victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has initiated the tradition of briefing the President-elect, marking the beginning of Trump's preparations for his second term in office.

Donald Trump has access to intelligence briefings from his residence at Mar-a-Lago.

The ODNI, which has followed this tradition since 1952, confirmed the provision of these briefings without specifying whether Trump has personally attended any sessions. A spokesperson stated, “ODNI is acting consistent with the tradition, in place since 1952, of providing intelligence briefings to the President-elect.” The Trump team has not commented directly on the matter, neither confirming nor denying the report.

Trump, now 78, has wasted no time in outlining his plans for the intelligence community and key executive agencies. During his campaign, he pledged to overhaul these institutions, particularly targeting what he has described as "corrupt actors" in the national security and intelligence apparatus. The President-elect has already made some key appointments, signaling his intent to reshape these departments significantly.

Among the first major announcements is Trump’s nomination of former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard for the position of Director of National Intelligence. Gabbard, a Democrat-turned-Republican known for her opposition to what she calls her former party’s "pro-war" stance, was praised by Trump for her "fearless spirit" and commitment to “championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength.” Gabbard’s nomination reflects Trump’s broader strategy to bring unconventional voices into prominent roles within his administration.

Another potential appointment that has drawn attention is former Pentagon official Kash Patel, who is being considered to lead the FBI. Patel, an outspoken critic of the current intelligence establishment, claimed in his 2023 book *Government Gangsters* that the bureau has become “so thoroughly compromised that it will remain a threat to the people unless drastic measures are taken.” Patel’s potential nomination underscores Trump’s intention to implement sweeping changes to federal agencies he views as adversarial.

This period marks the first time Trump has received sensitive briefings from intelligence officials since the FBI’s 2022 raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate, during which the Justice Department accused him of unlawfully retaining classified documents. These briefings signal a pivotal shift in Trump’s standing with the intelligence community as he prepares for his second term, with a focus on asserting control and implementing his vision of a reformed federal apparatus.

Jordan Peterson is another Russia shill and a complete phoney. If you want to know how smart Trump is listen to the people who work with him or taught him.

I'm not so sure that any of his supporters are imbued with the capacity for self reflection. He will be a disaster but they will never acknowledge it.

In the UK Brexit has been a disaster but all the clowns that wanted it have simply doubled down on their own stupidity. Few will actually admit that the outcome has been poor.

Sob sob another Kamala supporter who can't get over the moron losing

He was so smart that he paid other people to write his papers, so that he himself wouldn't have to learn and . . . . . .  Umm, nevermind.

And in around 2 months he will be the most powerful man in the world.....way to go.....:cheesy:

They voted for it, and now it's their turn:

Maybe the DT patriots can sell some of the guns they've been stockpiling since 2008 to make ends meet.

Trump and intelligence briefings, now there’s an oxymoron if ever I saw one. Hope they make the briefings short and sweet, and with lots of pictures in them, otherwise the Donald’s very short attention span is going to throw a spanner in the works.

And don't give him any documents, never know where they'll end up.

I am wondering how much information will be passed on to Putin.

n the UK Brexit has been a disaster

The problems are mostly down to the dithering and down right obstruction from anti leave politicians in parliament, had they all pulled together and genuinely honoured the referendum and actually left  then things would have been different

of course the greedy banker bailouts of 2018  and the Covidiocy did not help the situation and now we have to send all the money to Ukraine instead of helping the pensioners with winter fuel payments (why is the energy cost so high ? that dastardly Putin again ? ) and killing the farming industry  so we can all eat bugs instead...great plan there  you WEF  puppets !!!
