Xiaomi, Imilab home smart hub and security camera help please. (Imilab help line?)

I purchased an Imilab kit including an EC4 camera and an Imilab Smart Hub.  I also purchased an Imilab EC3 camera and a Xiaomi AW300 camera.  

 

There have been numerous problems setting up this system starting with an error message from the hub stating that the password was wrong.  Which one was not mentioned.  There is a password for Imilab app etc. but now I know it was a password for my router access that they are looking for.  This problem persists in spite of entering the correct password multiple times following an uninstall etc..  

 

Looking on YT I see that other people have this problem but no solution was offered.

 

I got the 4 camera working but not sure if it is going though the hub or direct to my router.

 

The EC3 imilab camera would not connect to the imilab smart hub (it is on the app's list of devices to add, however) but it did connect directly to my router and functions.  The Xiaomi AW300 would not connect to the hub but is connected directly to my router.

 

It seems that the cameras w/o batteries will need a reset or something in the event of a power failure but there is no mention of that so I don't know.  Any ideas?

 

Here is my question:  Anybody know of an Imilab/Xiaomi help line that is not require that the items were purchased from them please?  I bought these devices from Imilab Thailand shop, an authorized dealer, on Shopee.  So far they have not replied to my chat requests for help.

 

Along with a help line for this equipment, can you explain how the Imii, Xiaomi etc. etc. organizations work, or don't work together please?  It seems like they are the same company except when they are not.  (there are little green foxhead icon on some items).

I am not familiar with this make and model, but do you need to set up port forwarding?  You do not mention anything about it.  You mention the cameras can contact to your router, but to remote view them, you may need to set up port forwarding.  

 

As for a power outage, you can buy a UPS and connect your router and hub / cameras to it, however, if the power outage lasts for hours, eventually the UPS will drain, and there will be no power to any devices from the UPS.  The only way around that would be an expensive home / solar battery with around 10Kw capacity.  You wouldn't buy one just for some CCTV.
