That is a very misleading thing to say, yes there is violence in the South but it's limited to the South, and I can't think of a single instance where it spread to other parts of the country and affected innocence civilians. Most of that violence is targeted to the Thai Army, though there is no doubt that civilians are affected but only in the southern provinces.

 

I won't get into whether or not they have legitimate grievances, but those provinces were part of the Malay sultanate 150 years ago, and no Thai administration has ever taken their grievances seriously. Let's just leave it at that.

I was not citing him specifically but there are a lot of rabbis within the Israeli community that are extremists and have supported a doctrine of hatred and genocide against Arabs. It is very likely that the people who are responsible for retribution are not carefully betting their victims, it's a concept known as blowback.
