PC have certain exclusions that kick in based on your age too.

The first time you make a claim they will ask for permission to check your medical records and look for anything they can add as a preexisting condition for exclusions.

Yes,  that is what happened to me after a rather minor claim...... and perhaps even things with tentative links to some prior ailments may become exclusions. My thought were, if this is how they act in a minor situation, how would it be if it was some serious and expensive health incident!

I had a number of similar types of exclusions, ranging from 1 to 3 years, for memory, when I first took out Pacific Cross health insurance almost 6 years ago.  When it came to policy renewal time and I applied for an extension of the policy, I attached the medical reports from my 6-monthly comprehensive health check-ups.  Over time, most of the exclusions have been removed.  As I am rapidly approaching 70, I have also increased the "deductibles" limit to reduce the premium costs.   I have not complaints about Pacific Cross.

As an update, I formally rejected the Pacific Cross offer complaining if you make all those exclusions I don't know what is left that I'm covered for.

PC came back confirming exclusions were only listed due to me stating amount of alcohol per week (15-20 light beers). They said this can be adjusted if I clarify amount and size of drinks I have (It's funny they asked size of bottles in ml or litres lol)

I've clarified 15-18 330 ml bottles of 3.2% alcohol beer per week and said I think that's equivalent to 6-8 red wines per week. PC already responded they'll send me a new offer.
